Don't you think we are slowly turning to jerks?

I've been around since the 2002.. seen the evolvement of the forums. I have high respect for DJs but something recently just raises questions. I hope as you skim thru these questions and statements i wrote. Keep an open mind -

We start off as AFCs.. then learned some techniques. Gained confidence.

After sometime of reading the post recently and compare it to post before (2002). All i can conclude are this forum are forming Players not DJs.

Right now i can't really differentiate the attitude we have here between jerks. I mean, while we are still the NICE guy, we think of jerks as the ones that hurt women, jerks are the ones that leave women crying but don't we do just the same now that we learned various techniques like ( not showing high level of interest ) making girls think of us, leaving them emotionally unbalanced?

Seriously before, what i think about jerks are that they just f u ck around with girls, all they want are sex. They don't really care about them. Now you can argue to me that you still care for them, but what i see around in the forum post are you guys only care to get this particular girl, **** a bit, get bored or wanna test more subjects or better yet find a girl that has a higher interest level.

Why do we even differentiate DJs from players, or am i wrong with this statement? Are DJs really players?

Since from a nice guy point of view, players are the jerks. That would ultimately mean that DJs are jerks. (Transitive rule)

I might get some negative response from you guys. But think of it first before flaming me. No need for flames really. I am looking for a nice discussion and not some flaming wars. Keep it Good since Djs are Good guys right? Don't start flaming since flamers are the immature guys and thus the jerks.

Well. I think that there is a definate difference between what being a DJ means to me & being a jerk.

I do see a lot of posts by people on this forum that show a completly selfish attitude & lack of respect for other people & a idea to simply get what they want from life without caring who they have to step on to get it..
Like getting rid of friends & their opinions & treatment of girls with looks that are slightly below their standards.

Being a 'DJ' for me is being not being a arse who thinks of themselves in every situation, but being a decent respectible person who treats EVERYONE with respect.
This site has taught me to be ambitious, laid back, confident & looking to get as much out of life as possible.

i think you can be a 'DJ' without being a jerk at the same time.

Here is a scenerio:

Lets say youve been dating a girl for a while and one day she asks you if you two could be exclusive. A DJ would say that you just want to date right now and nothing else. In this situation you are being honest and basically telling her you have not promised or commited anything to her so she can take it or leave it. If she cries and is hurt is because of her feelings towards you and not because you disrespected her, quite the opposite. She is feeling frustrated that she can't have you.

The Dating game is a very dirty game because even though we want to be logical about it both the male and the female ego's and emotions are on the line. The rules of attractions is a very tricky business, its here today but could be gone tomorrow. Rejection is part of the game because it could happen, and as long as you are respectful and you did not make any promises to her then you have nothing to feel bad about.

A Jerk will agree to be exclusive while lie to her, cheat on her and dump her when he finds a better girl. A jerk shows no respect and completly uses the girl to his needs while blantatly lying to her. A DJ doesn't need to lie.

To each his own. I would say that when it comes to dating, its harder to distinquish between good or bad but its easier to distinquish between winners and losers.

gonna add something tho:
IMHO a jerk is the guy that treats a girl like shiznit, and is an overall d!ck to her. a jerk is a guy that goes girl hopping, and thinks that he can use women.
i've seen a lot of so called DJ's w/ this mentality, and personally i dont think they are DJ. Being a DJ is about respecting yourself and others.
It is not taking crap from anyone, and going for the gold all the time. If a DJ lands a silver, he can be satisfied b/c silver is great. he is not going to whine and complain.

So, I disagree MadaMadaDame when you say that DJ's are jerks. They can be "jerks," but there is a fine line b/t jerk, and "perfect"
DJ's are at the top and go for nothing less- which may make them seem like a jerk, but in theory they go for they want, and usually succeed, cuz their attitude
