Here's the thing....
I called her today...she answers with "speak..."
I'm like...are you my secretary?
How about you answer with "hello"
Or "hi, what's up"
That's not a very nice way to answer the phone....she hangs up.
Whatever...time of the month, stress, puppy got run over....who knows...
Her bday is tomorrow....I had a plan...but now I don't even want to text her happy bday.

No bro....just wanted to waste my time.

Not angry....just put off.
I'll put it this way....I call...she says....what....I say...whoa....who am I....that's no way to answer my call....she hangs up. I call back...no answer....

Now I don't feel like giving her the time of day on her bday.

Is she your secretary? If so, you should fire her on her birthday for being unprofessional.

As a man, nothing can shake you up.

I'd say "Alright, it seems that you're really talkative but I gotta go".

Keeping things light and fun is also a way to show her that she can't change your mood whenever she wants.

Naturally, you won't stay there to be taking it like a punching bag.

If you tried to talk and she already started it in a bad way, let it be.

OP, you didn't provide enough context so it's really hard for any of us to give you any comments.

If she had your name & number programmed into your phone and you got that response, it would be off putting for sure.

In the United States, answering a phone call with "speak" is not considered common courtesy. "Hello" or "Hi" is more common.

Ignoring her birthday over this seems a bit petty even without any context. It might be worth a conversation about what's going on. Calmly discussing how you felt put off could be productive.

You felt something was off in your gut and you went and acted against it, and now you got the silent treatment. I'd suggest you read / listen a few audiobooks, Atomic Attraction or No More Mr. Nice Guy

Ahh sh1t I wanted to tell you not to text text that b1tch anything but you already did, I found late this thread.

She answered you in the most b1tchiest way possible and I would hang up on her in that very moment, yet alone I wouldn't t text her happy birthday next day if she disrespected me the way she did you.

Something's up....doesn't matter anyway...I'm going NC.
All I can think of, is that I withdrew the sweet words after a discussion I didn't like and I have yet to return to that. She probably feels sad or something...even subconsciously....maybe rejected and she's lashing out.
I know she gets a lot of attention from guys.
Who knows....I don't want to be all up in my head, so NC and talk to some more.

Her actions seem very disrespectful. Disrespect= loss of respect. Loss of respect= end is near.

Ghost her. Leave her head spinning. Seems like a fitting bday present for her based on her behavior.

Should had just said, you okay? You're attitude isn't very welcoming. Let's try this again. Hello whatever your name is.

I understand your logic, but she damn well knows how she acted without OP pointing it out.

Any further contact welcoming this behavior is laying down a foundation that let's her know that it's OK to act like this to him.

Not for me dawg. Deuces. Dust in the wind.....ghost.

Now if after some S&D she decides to crawl back and change her tune, give it another shot. Any further disrespect and its not a one time thing anymore, it's who she is. At that point block and delete.

Millions of women are out there guys. Go find a better one. Or 3.

On a side note, do you think a high value woman with options/orbiters would stick around if a guy just started acting like this to her out of the blue?

I don't think so.
