Friend, what is really a friend?:kick:

A lot of people mistaken a person for someone his not. A lot of people make friends with someone and then trust them like their own mother.

A lot of Friends will always be jelious IF you have something that they dont. Most Friends will ditch you. And most might kill you for revenge. They might steal your wife, or kill your brother.

I known this guy for 8 years, he was my best friend. And he has been stealing from me for all those 8 years, And i trusted him. I had a gf, i dated her for 2 years, then this Friend of mine, slept with her. I kicked my friends ass and never spoke to the girl again. And almsot all my friends always been jelious of me. They ditched me when i needed help, and treated me with royalty when they needed extra cash.

Even closest friends you know, might do something behind your back that you never even though of. My parents always told me that friends are not to be trusted but to be respected. I never believed my parents until I stepped into reality and saw the truth that I never saw before.

Just to let you know, that if you wanna succed in life, you have to do it all alone. NO one will look after your back exept your parents. Look at homeless people! YOu think they have friends? NO they dont, they only have other homeless people sitting next to them and telling bullshyt stories. They have no one becouse they have nothing themselves. You must know that if you LOAN all your money to a closest friend, he will never be back, instead he will ditch you and leave you emty, rotten on the streets.

And if a "FRIEND" tells you to try weed, then his a scumbag that need to be killed. If a friend tells you that your dreams are bullshyt then hes a guy that jelious of you. If a friend believes IN you, helps you when you need help, then i guess you found a friend that will stay a friend forever.

thats not a real friend , thats an advantager. an advantager just tags along seeking approval and then stabs you in the back to get theirs.

Good post, I know some people that have insecure/needy friends and they don't see it. A couple of them ignore what I say and say I am a pessimist. Yes, I guess I am for not being skeptical over how someone carries themselves or respects others. I'm voting Republican in 2008 just cause they're cool and kinda rich.

This caught my attention as I found myself wondering about this during the week-end.

I'll give you a few facts.

One of my buddies I know for a couple of years is getting back into the game after a LTR. He's on a hot streak at the moment and I guess he's eager to impress me (note: when I met him 2 yrs ago, his game appeared to be inexistent). Nothing wrong with that unless of course he starts using tons of C&F on my girlfriend and using my routines on her.

ex: she blushes, and he goes : "Oh you're blushing? Am I making you blush?" Now using that in front of me is kinda borderline I guess (for confirmation, check my nickname...) MY f***ing routine...

Worse... AMOGing me :box:
Check this out: the guy is small, totally not athletic and average looking whereas I keep myself in prettu good shape working out three times a week and playing competitive hockey.
So he looks at me and goes: "Wow, you're really been hitting the gym lately."
then turns to my girlfriend and goes: "Doesn't he scare you in bed now he got so muscular?" and laughs.

So far I took it really easy and I don't consider the guy as threat but he'd better stop playing these freaking games or he's gonna be sorry.

Well, in that case I guess no reaction was the right reaction. What do I care if that guy vents his frustrations for not being athletic in such a pathetic manner. I didn't even raise an eyebrow.

Same for using one of my routines on my girlfriend, was I going to get mad? nope.

I appreciate that my gf eventually had the honesty and courage to tell me a few words about it, saying: "I don't think it's very appropriate for your friend to make flirty comments like he did. I assume he doesn't really mean but it makes me feel uncomfortable."

So, most important thing : your gf must make it clear to you and to him what she thinks about it. In this instance, she did nothing to encourage him and more specifically made it clear that she wasn't impressed when he was bragging about his ONS. Then , she assessed the situation with me which I also consider a sign of integrity and honesty.

On the contrary, if your girlfriend responds positively to your friends compliments and engage in any flirtitious behaviour, you know you can get rid of both. They're just both being disrespectful to you and rubbing it right in your face. I guess it's a no-brainer for any self respectin' DJ facing this situation.

Back to my current situation, that guy will be present at a party this friday and if he starts that same **** again, well I will calmly put my hand on his shoulder and ask him to come with me to the bar where I will explain to him that he should stop on the spot. He will hangout with us for the rest of the party (only insecure AFC's would start a riot and ruin the party for such a petty incident)
However, will no longer be one of my buddies and i won't return his phone calls.
"Three strikes and you're out" Simple as that

As for any the critics that might object: "you should've told him before, not after" ...No, who would want a friend that needs such obvious rules stated so clearly? If he acting in good faith and cannot figure out by himself how inappropriate his behaviour was then he's dumber than a donkey's ass and I don't need him around anyway.

Anyway, bottom line is when dealing with this type: when you're confident that your girl is on your side, it's so damn easy.

Back to the original question "Friend, what is really a friend?" Wanna test your friends?

Easy-piesy..

Tell them you got laid at a time when they haven't for a while..

or

Tell them your relationship/marriage is going great at a time when theirs is not...

If they are loyal friends, they will truely be happy for you, tell you they are, and you will be able to see it in their face and feel it in their voice..

If they give you a fake "oh thats great", or do what one friend of mine does which is completely be a **** to me for about a week. Then well, he may still be a friend, but don't go boating with him without a lifejacket, and definately don't trust him alone with your woman...

yes alot of so called "friends" don't really like you they just might be using you to climb the social ladder

all these people claiming to have 100 friends probably really have 100 acquaintances

true friends are rare

I got a great example of this just last week. I finally learned that a few people on my staff, who I thought were my friends, have been talking tons of sh*t about my work. Trying to highlight my shortcomings to make themselves look better (for rehiring next year). One girl even went so far as to rate my performance "poor," not to mention circling the choice like 50 times in pen.

Thing is, my shortcomings were nothing huge. They were just nitpicking. What's worse is that these people still pretend to be my friends now. I'm still civil with them, but I now don't trust them with anything important.

I have maybe 5 real friends, people who want to see me succeed and genuinely try to help me out. The worst part is that I try to help almost everyone out that I meet.

what kind of creep method is that?! your friend's marriage is going bad and you are going to tell him yours is oh so great?! man you deserve a punch in the face :box: what kinda of a FRIEND does that? seems like you're even making fun of his problems when you say it at that time..

best way to test who's your friend: get some terminal disease or something else you have to lay in the hospital for 6 months or more and see who's coming regularly... i don't think a lot people would come to see you/me more than once a week for six months long...

LOL Hold the phone jack.. I said "If you wanna test your friends", try this. Doesn't mean I am saying to go and do this all the time with all your friends. I agree that would not be cool. But if you have doubts about a particular friend and want to cut the BS and get to the bottom of it, this test works, I guarantee..

I truely do not use my own life status to determine how I feel about my friends having good things in their lives.. Maybe you hated my post so much because you read it and said "rut row, i aint a very good friend to my buddies, yikes!!". Not trying to dis' ya dude, just make ya think a little bit..

LOL! On the other hand, if you let me know who you sleep with to get that disease so I dont sleep with her and get it, then, THAT would also make you a friend for life in my opinion!! LMAO!

In all seriousness, your "laying in the hospital" test would work too, I agree.

Doing nothing is sometimes nesseccary if that friend is a good friend and he's more important than ur gf. But sometimes you gotta AMOG him back by saying stuff like "Hey don't be jealous that I LOOK BETTER than you and have a girlfriend... maybe you should workout too. Why don't I show you how to get in shape. wink"

well said dude, you cannot believ what happend to me back in highschool when i was in year 9. I met a group of guys and made friends with them when i first joined the highschool, i stayed quite close to one of them and he was one of my best friends, then along came this girl in year 8. Now she was hot and in year 9 she became the GF of the group "gang leader", unfortunately i liked her as well and back then i was really stupid, i was the worst AFC in the world, and back then i was getting the sht bulllied out of me, so i had to turn to someone and look for support-along came the chance, my "friend" became closer to me, then i poured my heart out to him and told him how i loved her(i really did, i would have died 4 her), 3 weeks later i became the laughing stock of our whole year because my "friend" was a spy, who was sent by the leader and the girl so they can get some laughs. I have never trusted anybody like that again, and looking back, i found that most of my friends betrayed me so now i dont have friends, i have accquatences(i have 2 closer one who can be counted as friends, but they rarely help me when i need help). What a strange world this is, the people who are can be real friends are the ones who have been through the shts and got fvcked themselves.
