It make sense... why have a relationship, if you're already knocking boots, as it were?

All that "get your hands dirty" real relationship stuff can get in the way of the pure animalistic nature of casual sex.

Is it just shallow labels, or something else?

Or maybe, having a relationship and getting to know someone = better sex?

He just wants sex and doesnt realize it. Everybody has brainwashed him to thinking he needs to hang with this chick to get sex and a relationship. Hes not even thinking about her qualities except that shes hot and "maybe" nice and getting attention. Daily texting and talking has sunk your battleship. You're an emotional tampon at the moment. She wants to have sex and talks about it, but doesn't tell you to come over??
