I always thought alcohol helped my game because it gives you confidence and more courage to approach. Well until this week when I changed my opinion.

Alcohol ruined 5 chances this week for me (this are the ones I can remember, probably more but because of drinking I cant remember other ones)!!!

Sunday: I got wasted at a party, and although one hot Blondie was giving me IOI that night I ended up making out with 2 fat chicks

Tuesday: Prom night, this hot chick I licked all high school ended up making out with me, well at least when I was half sober, after I got wasted the only thing I remember is not ****ing her.

Friday(last night): I had 3 solid chances at a concert.
First we were buying beer and this chick that was in line with us said "Hi!" and I just said hi back and walked away.

Second: One girl that always hit on me in Yahoo messenger saying that she really really likes me meets me and tries to have a conversation, I just said: "OK boys lets get another beer!" How drunk can you be that when such a hot babe cheerleader approaches you and you just go to get another beer?

Third: In front of a disco after the concert, one girl that I just vaguely know approaches me with her friend and it goes something like:

HB: -Hey Taviiiiiiii
Taviii: -Ahhh, Hey
HB(to her HB friend): -He is Tavi, isn't he gorgeous?
Other HB: -Yeah he is! Hi I'm xxcxcx

That's all I remember...

I honestly thought until now that alcohol can help your game. Well I guess that it can help you to some point of your development, but after that its more of an obstacle than a solution for fear...

What are your guys opinions on this?

Does it help you or does it ruin your chances?

All DJs are welcomed to write their stage of development so that we can see how alcohol helps or affects your game in different stages of your development!

PS remember I have all the weekend in front of me so there are a lot of chances to be ruined, so answer quickly mates!
I think that if you're good at playing the game, alcohol will have a negative effect on your game; if you're not a good player, it will probably bring along more positive effects, as you obviously loose some inhibitions, which, in the first place, may be one of the reasons why you're not good. (long sentence)
What prevents many bad players from having success is probably fear, and so, alcohol makes them better. Experienced players, on the other hand, are not having the same problems concerning fear, and other aspects of their game are more important. Alcohol will weaken these aspects.

Okay, I'm a drinker...check that I'm a alcohol specialist:up:. I personally like to drink because I like the taste of alcohol. Concequently I've quite a tolorance for alcohol and am able to drink until the cows come home with lowered enebriation (my liver loves me:down:) factored in. Many people have said I look "stone sober" after a solid night of drinking and even more people have found themselves in very bad places when trying to pace themselves off of my drinking rate. I've observed many drunken patrons at the bars/clubs around vegas and I can say for some people drinking helps while for others it definately hinders.

Some people really get "cool" after they've had a few drinks. They open up and tell good stories, are pretty smooth, can crack jokes, and all around become better people to hang out with then they were before. Others are the exact opposite where they were tolorable once before, after a few drinks they turn into a$$hole lunatics who get way out of control. I venture to say that alcohol effects depend on the indivudual and to label it a game maker or game breaker cannot be determined for the masses or assumed for the whole.

Personally, I'm from Ireland... I lot of this dating and scoring scene happens in pubs and clubs when people get a little brave after a few drinks..

I've noticed though. If you go out to get HAMMERED... your not gonna be in any stat to pick up women.

Alcohol, in the right environment CAN help. In a club/pub environment, a little alcohol, can be GOOD if it helps you enjoy urself a little more and therfore helps you APPROACH a little more. On the other hand.... if you go overboard, you really haven't got the control or composure...a nd I've noticed with myself, even looking in the mirror, I really don't look or act my best if I've had a LOT to drink so don't over-do it.

I've always questioned the value of crutches as alcohol, drugs, lines, expensive cars and the like. They may have their purpose, but should that purpose be as a mask to hide someone's shortcomings? Who should be in control, you or the alcohol (or anything else used as a crutch)?

Just something to consider.
Do you have the same moral dilemma when you take cold medicine, or Tylenol, or drink caffeinated beverages?

When you get down to it, there's not much of a difference.

Did you understand what I wrote? It has nothing to do with morality. It's about overindulging and using things as a crutch. I even said they each have their purpose.

well i know this is a thread about alcohol but it reminds me of something. has anyone on here every tried taking ritalin. Its a medication for ADHD but if you take like triple the dose it makes you so mellow and calm. Ive taken it like 4 or 5 times and my game is twice as smooth

What high horse was I on?

When you take cough medicine, do you ever ask yourself "Wow, maybe I'm really just using this Robotussin as a crutch because I don't have the confidence to overcome this cough by myself"?

Do most of your conversations go this way? Maybe some people should use a crutch.

Tavii, there is a magical zone where alcohol will make you more outgoing and confident without turning you into a retard. Find that zone and don't pass it.

Haha. So what so you drink dude, Mike's Hard Lemonade?

Haha i agree there - i have a certain amount of drink & i'm flying then after that it's a downward spiral. The main thing is that too much drink can make you do things like trip over, sway, glazy eyes, etc... and to a girl that's more sober than you it won't look good. I usually approach while "in the zone" and get a girls number & spend the rest of the night with the boys depending on what time of night it is / whether the girl will go home, etc... I think it also depends on how much the girl has had - i.e. the more drunk she is the more you can get away with. But being too drunk also makes a lot of guys letchey, over emotional, etc... and girls hate it!
