Does a MySpace page set to private mean she has a b/f?

are you that ****ing stupid dude. I guess every chick who has a myspace set to private must have a b/f. It probably has nothing to do with just allowing anyone and everyone to see her profile instead of people she has added as friends.

It just seems like all the girls I know who have boyfriends also have their myspace pages set to private.

Why not you know maybe add the chick as a friend or simply send her a message thats what the add friend and send message comments are there for.

I would strongly recommend anyone who has a career to set their myspace, facebook profiles to private. It's becoming a more common practice for employers to search their employee and potential employees on these sites to see if they can get insight on who they're dealing with, I know the company I work for does.

Seeing you in pictures at bars every weekend or doing dumb stuff is not the impression you want to give these people.

Effingtons right.

Some students created a facebook group making fun of an english teacher at my school. Due to this group, the teacher didn't get a job a college he applied for.

But i'm not even going to adress the first post, because he's making dumb generalizations so.. not even going to get into it lol.

Depends.

You have to understand that one of the reasons they are private is to keep weirdos and pervs away.

If you message her and add her and come off in a non weirdo perv way, things should be fine.

Stone, I just disagree. A lot of girls use pictures of themselves and their boyfriends for their portraits (the first pictures you see when you try to access their sites). I'm usually not just guessing when I determine that they're spoken for.

Well then if you see they have a bf, then...don't add them?

I'm not sure which one of my posts that was in response to.

If you know them, send your request. Find out if they have a boyfriend.

(If you must resort to clandestine operations, asking them isn't a bad thing by any means.)

If you don't, meeting women over Myspace is lame. Don't do it.

Problem solved.

private on myspace means that she has to make you her friend before you can see her page.
alkali is right, send the request and then you will find out.

I've seen no difference in response rate between private and non-private. A lot of people with careers do have private profiles, I agree.

I think it makes you look better to have a lot of friends with private profiles, because it implies that those friends are not friend wh0res with 4,000 friends.

Yeah, every single private female myspace is dark water for you. There will most definetely be a boyfriend involved, he will be big muscular and has 6 guns. The moment you try to add her, he will come and shoot you with all 6 guns.

Lesson of the day: Don't bother with girls with private myspaces, even if you have met them IRL

ROFL Kev07. Seriously OP this topic is ridiculous. Think of it this way if you were to simply click add and she accepted you then you could check her page to see if she has a boyfriend or not. Why the **** are you such a ***** to simply click add. So many people add random people anyway and most people simply add them back. If not simply send a message and see if you get accpeted.

Turns out the internet is full of creepy perv guys (who knew?). Girls have to watch out for all kinds of crap we don't have to.

Thanks for reminding me I should turn mine on private now that I'm looking for a job again. Not that there's anything too bad on mine, but I doubt them looking at my page will ever HELP me get a job. It could probably only hurt.

As an alternative, pretend you are the boss and critique your own site from their viewpoint, changing anything that doesn't agree. Quite frankly, if it would embarress the company, chances are its embarressing to everyone else too. A personal site can be done in good taste and not be inherently embarressing to anyone. For example, why have a myspace site where you look like a punk. Businesses don't want that image because no one wants to be associated with punks anyway; including women.

We're conditioned to the idea of sucking up to employers, and to maximize options, that is what people do. But honestly, anyone who does not want to hire me because of my myspace page can fvck off.
