This guy makes a good point that once the Roman men gave women rights - such as no-fault divorce - they began to divorce their husbands and go chase the gladiators (i.e., the jock-Chads of that era).

For as long as anyone can tell, human females have been wet and lusty for men who possess a "get up and go" disposition, who can bring more resources into their lives. Some try to give this an academic veneer, by slapping a high falutin label such as "hypergamy" onto it, same way folks in the early 20th Century medicalized whining by rebranding such things as "neurosis"

When I think of the Romans I think of the Movie Gladiator were the Emperor was trying to seduce his own sister for sick and political agendas.....They were a perverted, sick culture .......

Unlike the Original Hebrews with the lineage of Abraham, Moses and Jacob and Yeshua.

There's irony in the way that the richer people poisoned themselves with heavy metals by having what was considered at the time to be the nicest cookware, goblets and utensils. The emperor would have had it the worst.
Hi Bible,
Wasn't just the lead in the Cookware and Goblets, they used to hang
Lead ingots in their amphoras of wine to sweeten them.
