I've been reading how Japanese men have been derided for being "herbivore men" and also about how the birth rate is so low that the last Japanese will be born in a few hundred years. I wonder if Japanese society has figured out that it needs to turn on as many folks to having sex as possible to avoid these ominous trends.

Perhaps the proliferation of pornography is about subverting the potential power of mass movements. didnt know feminism existed in Japan. I mean its à society where man have to provide for the family, women have to stop working when having à kid, they cant look in your eyes directly or its impolite.

However, having done it...you see japanese women in clubs looking for foreigners. They have 3 questions:

1. Where you from?
2. How much money you make?
3. How long you staying?

Interesting that all the bad guys of WorldWar2 (Russia,Germany,Italy, Japan) have négative birth rate.

Overthere, the overworking hour, the culture of respect, technology, ethnocentrism etc... have made man... walking machine. Hence why Japan is number2 in the porn business (and its openly displayed... magazine are accesible and easy, you see people reading them on the train)

Japan is awesome: Best food, best music, most clean place ever, good looking women when they are, nightlife is impressive

But it does have a "man" problem

It's also a country where sexuality is suppressed and a lot of men are petrified to talk to women, not to mention ask for a date. Their culture is not very physically affectionate to the point where some people don't ever hug, kiss in public, have much sex, etc.

I have interacted with Japanese women first and both in the US and in Japan. None of these women has asked me for my income, and those in Japanese didn't ask me how long I was staying. They like foreigners because we are different culturally. The Japanese women I've met have been some of the freakiest I've ever interacted with; you just have to know how to spit game.

In terms of race, however, they seem to have an affinity toward white people, as most other Asian people do. They actually hold white people on a pedestal...it's crazy. Anyway, I hope this test provides more insight into your questions, OP.

Still, I doubt it isnt feminist because that is the natural cycle for all modern rich technological countries and women must contribute with high degrees and careers as well. We all know that when both sexes work more and do higher education and are forced by their society to think about money that kids fall down on priorities and the family unit takes a hit.

I've lived there and I never saw feminism. They still have wage inequality, the glass ceiling, and a law against female succession for the royal family.

Many girls are repressed and shy about sex and gaming too hard can go bad. It's not like dating in say Thailand or the Philippines. Their standard of living is good and they don't need to snag a rich white guy, so in a way there's more independence but not to the extent of a feminist revolution.

Never seen à Japanese Girl make à move.... they expect guys to make the move. At least à respectful woman with honor.
