That’s how I feel about clothing/fashion. I dress well because I like clothes, and I enjoy assembling outfits. It doesn’t make that much difference to women IME unless the guy’s fashion sense is REALLY bad to start out with.

It is mental illness. This isn't like losing your virginity at a random party. Nor is it like crashing your car in some joy ride or drunk accident. They deliberately go to a person who delivers a painful procedure on your body that remains permanent and cannot be removed. In addition, your body is constantly fighting against it, which is why they like suppressing the fact that tattoos decrease your immune system's effectiveness [science they absolutely hate you not knowing]. And to add to that, except in a few niche cases, tattoos just look absolutely ugly on most people. Especially women.
The process of getting a tattoo looks uncomfortable to an observer of tattooing. I don't know how many people watch a tattooing before they get their first tattoo.

Some women have tattoos that look good. However, it's rare that there's a situation where the tattoo looks better than untattooed skin. A lack of body art is usually the more attractive choice.
Yes exactly. And, working out to attract women also fits in there. My point is, there's nothing wrong with that, but pretending it's "for yourself" is cope...it's ultimately dishonest because the implication there is that they aren't doing it for approval, when they are.
I think it's ALL for yourself.
