Right...
I've decided i want to give DIESELS work-out schedule a shot. Last couple years I've not really been doing a steady work-out routine anymore because of work and health related issues. Now I've got more time and recovering from my affliction so i want to hit the gym hard again.
The deal is that I've lost a lot of muscle over the years and gotten a little soggy around the midsection (ugh). According to a bf% calculation i have about 25% body fat ATM which is a bit much for my taste. But it seems to be my natural 'form' when I'm not working out.
When i first started working out i was able to get results pretty quickly. I gained a good 50% muscle mass on all major muscle groups that i was working on ( chest, bis, tris, shoulders) over a course of about 4.5 months. Which i considered to be fairly fast. I was lifting hard 5 times a week with little to no cardio (i hate cardio). I never really got 'cut' but didn't really care all that much.
Now I'm still on the 25% body fat but without the muscle, he he. So i want to bulk up again.
Now my question is. Should i bulk first, up my calories and hit the gym hard or should i start cutting first?
Like i said in my post, I've gotten fair results before with my current bf% and by working out hard and eating well.
So what do you guys think? Better for me to cut first and lose some of my body fat or better to keep it for now and use it to bulk up faster?
