Oh how I hated this. I remember that every single vacation we went on, my parents dragged me to places I just didn’t want to see. Old churches, castles, museums and other buildings of history. It was so boring, I couldn’t stop thinking of going home and playing with my Lego’s. I got into quiet a few fights over this.

Let’s skip forward to last weekend. I went to a little town with my friends to walk around, do some sight-seeing and have a good time. We went into this old church dating back to the 12th century I think. My friends were running around looking at stuff while I simply froze. I was standing right in the middle of the church, looking up at the roof. I hope you don’t mind me not talking about all the beautiful details I found because I would have to get out a dictionary and do hours of searching for the English words ;). Yet, my main thoughts were: What kind of great men build this?

Do you realize this, when you look out of your window. Everything you see that was build by humans was once upon a time just a thought in the mind of a genius. Yet, he united day and dream by making it real. We are artists and creators. If you walk through a castle, how can you not wonder what great men walked there before you, how they build and created and lived and fought?

Our mind is what creates this world, over and over again. When I went to the US for my high school exchange I basically created a new world for myself, with a new family, new friends, a new school, and even new hobbies.

Dreams are more powerful than facts. Imagination is stronger than knowledge, the myth more powerful than history, and passion will always go further than experience. The final word to the book of science is that the world can be made to whatever we want, that the real world is not outside you but within, which gives us all the power to begin the world over again.
Our mind is more powerful then we ever thought! So you must unite Day and Dream.

“All the things women want… confidence… humor… spontaneous... fun… These are all qualities of a MAN living out his imagination. Embrace your dreams! Stop trying to be ‘perfect’ in woman’s eyes for you’ll wrong the truest commandment with sexuality: Do not bore women. And…”

“Unite Dream and Day”
I shall go into a little more detail, so you can understand what I mean. This is going to get a little bit philosophical.

Philosophy is the refuge for those who refuse to be flesh-and-blood.
Shut up pook, I am not seeking philosophy as a refuge, but to make a point. Living philosophy is killing your life, not just talking about it from time to time (just don’t talk about it with women!)

So look over here, I am going to pull out two screens. They are both black at the moment. The one on the left is going to be reality; the one on the right will be the imagination. Now let’s assume we are talking about an animal here.

Look, the left screen now shows a forest. This is reality. Oh, look at the right screen! It’s a copy of the left one!

What point is there? Well, wait and see. On the left side an animal appears. It’s a potential prey! Now look at the right screen. It shows the animal eating the prey.

Now, where is the point? There are two aspects I want to show you. First one is: The imagination side was altered. It was altered by emotion. Emotions are like the weather in the real world to the world of imagination. They can be like rain (sadness), like the sun (joy), like the wind or like a hurricane.

The animal is certainly uniting day and dream now. It’s going to catch the prey. So uniting day and dream means changing reality into what your imagination shows you. This is action. Reality also alters your imagination, usually through emotions. This is a reaction.

What makes us human is our ability to alter the right screen, the imagination one, through thoughts. This leads us to abstract thinking. While for an animal a tree on the left side is also a tree on the right side, we can take this picture of reality, copy it on our imagination screen and replace the tree by, let’s say, the word “tree”. We replace the picture by a word. This is why we were able to develop language. We divide the two worlds, the reality and the imagination one and create abstract thinking.

Now this is where it backfires. An animal might not be able to alter the imagination through thoughts but we quickly loose part of our ability to alter reality into something that fits our imagination. The genius has to be able to do both. As the architect of this old church I was talking about created the church first in his imagination and then united dream and day, just like an animal would, by actually making it come true.

Pook describes this phenomenon also, but he doesn’t use the animal analogy. He uses a child.

-You embraced your imagination. If you played with a girl, it was to be on your terms. You will not find a boy that says to a girl, "Whatever YOU want to do." I remember flicking caterpillars on girls (and they loved it!). You would point to the girl and go, "You are the detective and I am the cop." And then you pointed to others and go, "Look at these villains! Come, we must round them up!" And the girls joyfully played the part.

What do you do NOW? "Let's go get dinner." BORING.

-You had one eternal enemy in childhood, boredom. Like a void, it encroached on you in school, ensnared you with a stupid trip with the parents, and enveloped you as you stepped on the school bus. You embraced every chance for play.

If there is ONE thing a man must NEVER do to a woman, it is this: DO NOT BORE HER. Make her happy, make her angry, make her laugh, ANYTHING but bore her. That enemy, boredom, is back and women are looking for you to strike it down. Embrace your youth and live again for the first time.
The child unites day and dream without hesitation. As adults, we have this fear of doing so. We might offend somebody. We might get hurt, we might LOOSE something.

Now this fear of loosing something is part of our abstract thinking. An animal has only the fear of loosing its life. We however, replace the picture of this car by the feeling of ownership. And everything we own, we can loose. Now we own lot’s of property, money, a huge ego, abilities, thoughts and a lot more. The more we have the more we can loose! Now if you realize that you have everything you need within your mind, that you can recreate the world whenever you want, then you aren’t afraid of loosing anymore! You can risk!

Live the life YOU want.
Materialist- If a man spends his life in a soul destroying job, he is held up as a model for society.

Nice Guy- A man discovers 'great love' and throws himself at the girl, putting her on the pedestal, he kneeling, as she becomes his new goddess.

Shining Star- Wants to enchant the gossipers, be it newspapers, television or radio shows, and whatever else. They want loud titles to hide that they are not truely men, no matter their scripted appearances.

Citizen Dildo- A life full of notches on the bedpost. But then what?

All four are addictive because they flood your body with stimulants. What is a Nice Guy's addiction of 'love' but a stimulant? Why don't you just get a needle and jab it in your arm, at least it won't be absurd.

Since I am not on the typical scale of Nice Guy or Seducer, everyone wants me to act 'fully' as one or the other. But I'm neither. Most websites can be categorized into the four. This site flaps like a flag caught in harsh winds, not deciding which way fully to go, but wants to keep leaning to the Citizen Dildo. The websites that speak of a different alternative are few, just as few as the men that do it.
You can’t ever live the life you want if you don’t risk.

Now, let’s get back to my two screens for a while. If emotions are like the weather, then it can only rain (sadness) if there are clouds. What do I want to tell you with this analogy? That you can influence your emotions, your vulnerability.

Alas! He knew he was not Prince Charming so he did not act like one. But now he realized that Prince Charming is not the producer of the confidant thought; to the contrary, the confident thought is the producer of the Prince Charming. In order to be successful in the world, you must be successful in your mind.
Our imagination also automatically influences the reality, even without us acting. And that’s why….

As you think, you shall become.
Yes, it’s that easy. You thought you weren’t good enough for women. You thought you were ugly, dumb, too small, too big, wrong skin colour, whatever it is. There is a reason why they say: If you have a problem with it, she has. For as you think you shall become. If you think you are unworthy, you will become unworthy.

Personally, I think there is much more then we could ever know. I think that our imagination can influence the imagination of others. If we perceive ourselves a certain way, others will see us this way. This is what we call an aura. Normally, we would imagine something, make it real and another person would perceive it as something and put it into his imagination. It’s imagination -> reality -> imagination. But an aura skips the reality part. It’s Imagination -> Imagination. If you know you are prince charming, they’ll know too. I met people like that. They were standing behind me, I didn’t even notice them yet but I already felt this aura and wondered were this suddenly comes from.

Think about it.

Think a little more.

And now forget about it. After all, it’s a lot of philosophical stuff and you aren’t here to study for a psychology exam but to learn how to live life.

We as men are creators. We are logical, we long for tools to create our worlds. Women however are emotional. How does something make them feel? The jerk succeeds because he is masculine. Thus he makes the woman feel feminine. And if she feels feminine in your presence this is your green light!

But forget about that as well. Think about how you want to live your life, for the focus must always be on you.

It is the pattern of our age that value is placed on living a long life. Because of this pattern of value being place on having a long life, it is easy to lose sight that the reason we hope to live long is so we have more time to live worthily.

What does it mean to live worthily? This is something that only you can define. People have lots of opinions on what you should do with your life, but when the day comes that you are on your deathbed, knowing the imminent is possible, you’re the one that has to reflect upon the choices you made.

So… what is life to you?

I am not asking you to do this or that with your life, but I am only asking you to pause for a moment and think. What is life to you? Stop and look.

Many people do not stop to consider. They relive their parent’s life, only to produce children who will live like them! They want money so they spend their time to get it, only to use that money to buy back time. They always place their minds in the future and never in the present, thus they don’t live in the present or in the future. They lose the moments… and in the end, that is all we have. This trading of time for money, or money for time, or present for future, or future for present is not a pure exchange, life gets destroyed in the transaction.
There are three types of people. Those that aren’t creative enough to create their own life in their imagination. They just follow others.

Then there are those who have endless dreams of what they could do but they fail to unite day and dream. Fears are holding them back. Soon they become bitter because of their inability to do what they want. They blame others, the whole world but themselves and in the end they live other peoples dreams because they think that’s “just the way it is, you can’t live your own dreams”.

Last but not least are the ones who actually create meaning. Look at those children. They create their own world. Society hasn’t told them yet that they have to fit in. No one told them they ought to make money. Nobody told them to find the one and only. They are free.

It’s freedom what we have to seek. The genius needs freedom. What is freedom? It’s freedom of fears, freedom to create. For he who has no fears is able to unite day and dream whenever he wishes. Look at this young aspiring Don Juan. He is afraid to approach the young lady. You could tell him how ridiculous this is. You could tell him he just has to use this pick-up line and he’ll succeed. But in the end he has to kill his own fear.

Men have got testosterone for a reason. It makes us have less fear and take more risks. That is why we are the creators. That is why we long for freedom.

This post ended up with more text from me then from pook but I don’t really care. I’m writing these posts for myself and I think I could explain this better in my own words than pook did. In the end we have to take all this advice from SS and make it work for ourselves. Pook came up with the idea of writing everything he thought was important in his own posts so he could study them and not be smashed my tons and tons of posts all the time. This is a good way of improving yourself. See, this here works for me. Part A – D work for me too. I don’t expect this to work for everyone. Someone said that this website is divided in morality DJs, pook worshippers and people who don’t care about morality. I only see DJs and non-DJs. There is no difference between a morality DJ and his opposite. Both created their own values. It really is your choice. You can create your own morals or you don’t, as long as you create your own life I will die a happy Al.

Is advice on this website good or bad? Try it out. And then ask yourself: Did I try to please the woman or did I try to please myself? Did I act like some AFC or did I act like The Great Catch? Did I rush in without being able to control my eagerness or did I have patience? Did I focus on the girl or did I focus on the fun? Did I act like a non-sexual or like a man? Was fear holding me back or did I unite Day and Dream?

If you picked the first option in every question: Don’t despair! Read those posts again and try to really understand what they are saying. Then get out there and try to actualize everything bit by bit. If you picked the second option in every question: Congratulation, you are about to live the life you dreamed of.

Now your life belongs to yourself. What are you going to do with it? This Gift of life is yours and yours alone. It truly is the only thing no one can take away. Only you can give it away, to chunk it, to toss it into the abyss of time. But no longer will you do that.

Before, you crawled and inched your way through life. Now, cocooned and reabsorbed with your new thoughts, you molt off your old life and begin a new one. The other caterpillars, feeding on their grubs and inching in circles, look up at the sky to see you blaze by.

“How can he fly so high?”
“How is he so colorful?”
“How can he be so free?”

Nothing can stop you now except yourself. You now have the power to do what you’ve always dreamed, what are you going to do? The inner light of who you really are has broken out and will dazzle the world. You are so lucky, for you have saved your life. Now you know how precious life is because you were so close to ageing without discovering it.

And so people will notice the new you. Before I came here, I was mad for a girl. Now, that same girl looks at me and stares. “Something is different,” she says. “Something in your eyes… in your face…” Shrugging, she smiled. “It must be the light.”

I kissed her and pulled her to me. "Yes,” I said. “It must be the light."

This made me think of a quote (I can't completely remember how it went):

A girl has already made up her mind, she just wants to hear it in a guy's voice.

In any case, mad props to you my friend. May your fridge be filled with great beer for all time.

I dont know if you study or even know about it, but this is also a concept from the Law of Attraction. Thanks for your time decoding pooks post for me.

Incredible post. This is the key to being yourself. Living through your imagination is how you be yourself. So many posts on here saying be yourself be yourself but none of them tell you how.. this is how. Throughout my day I am constantly using my imagination to visualize things as I want them to be/ me acting the way that I want to be.. This is the easy part what seperates master DJ's and wanabee DJ's is this:

Are you going to bring your visions into your reality despite any fears or insecurities?

A friend of mine summed this whole idea up in one phrase during his commencement speech to his U of M Dearborn class this year.

"Thoughts become things."

Powerful, next level sh*t.
