I've noticed in many other threads people have mentioned must-see movies that demonstrate DJ philosophies. Those that were already mentioned include Boiler Room, Catch Me If You Can, Bad Boys and Top Gun.

It would be great if everyone contributed to make a comprehensive list.

I apologise if this has already been done but I didn't find anything similar in the archive.

DJ Movies

Office Space – Guy stops giving a **** about work and gets Jennifer Aniston.

The Matrix – The mind can be very powerful. Also, Neo’s disinterest in the chick attracts her.

A Knight’s Tale – Peasant Heath Ledger pretends to be a knight and wins over the unreachable beauty through his manly competitiveness.

A Beautiful Mind – Young John Nash asked girls in bar for sex – didn’t work in the 50s but maybe now?! Interesting philosophy on girls – no-one will get the blonde if everyone hits on her.

Gladiator – Manliness, presence, self-confidence and remorselessness.

Super Troopers – Over-testosteronised highway patrolmen with great confidence.

Happy Gilmore – Gets the girl because he’s funny, aggressive and competitive.

The Animal – Colleen from Survivor attracted to Rob Schneider’s animal masculinity despite earlier rejection due to his AFC-ness.

Back To The Future – Simplified but good example. Passage of time unchanged sees Marty’s parents meet after George hit by car. Present George is an AFC. Marty changes the past whereby George punches Biff to get girl. Modified present sees George as suave and confident.

The Nutty Professor – A story of two halves. Skinny, confident, brash Eddie Murphy gets lots of chicks. But then Fat Eddie Murphy gets desired chick after all.

AFC movies – watch these for examples of how NOT to act.

10 Things I Hate About You – Heath Ledger buys Julia Stiles a guitar – bad! Also nice-guy gets other popular chick.

American Pie 1 & 2 – It’s quite obvious. All except for Finch and the MILF.

The Whole Nine Yards – Loser Matthew Perry has gold-digging French slut wife.

Me, Myself And Irene – Intriguing one. Extreme jerk versus extreme nice guy – neither work at first. Maybe Irene marries him since he has the best of both worlds??

Little Nicky – Girl goes out with bumbling loser – yeah right.

Deuce Bigalow – Classic movie but he is a complete loser.

Please add more!

"At the first sight" or something like that. That's a real "DJ" and "AFC" movie.

There are two guys. A shy one, that wants to find the one and only, perfect girl, and a confident one, a playboy type. He just wants to have sex with every 8-10 girl he sees.

he AFC fells in love... Beautiful thing, isn't it? He wants to ask the DJ for some tips. He says 'STOP! Don't fall in love with that girl! Don't put her on the piedestal! The AFC tries to do that... But he knows the soft spot of the DJ. Many years ago a girl dumped him, and that's why he is, what he is. But if that wouldn't happen, he would have a perfect life...

This is a movie about DJ/AFC friendship, that has many good pick up tips. A romance/comedy, that you should all see! Call 911 to get your copy now! :D

I don't think that particular store had the film in stock - they got pretty mad when I asked. Then they sent the police round...

Anakin Skywalker in "Attack of the Clones" is not only as bland as unsalted butter on white bread, but he's seriously AFC. In real life, Amidala would have nailed him with, "I need someone more exciting!" :D

One that I haven't seen mentioned here yet is the recent, "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days". Sure, it's a corny romantic comedy, but Matthew McConnaughey's character has a lot of DJ techniques.

Movies are an excellent source of inspiration and entertainment.

Swingers is a decent flick from start to finish, Tao of Steve is corny but the beginning is a riot, Cruel Intentions is amusing if you don't take it too seriously, and any movie where a guy stands his ground or works hard to improve his life and the lives of others is worth watching.

All in all, movies are fun but do not prepare us for the real world. For many, coming to this site is an eye-opener because the media has shaped our misunderstanding of how things work. We tell the truth and truths produce results. This brings people to the site, which brings money to it's creator. The movies were produced to bring theatergoers to ticket counters. There is not a shred of reality in films like Star Wars, 10 Things, and Cruel Intentions. Entertainment? Yes. Wisdom? No.

There is considerably more wisdom and less superfluous fluff on this site.

However, the true test of your DJ knowledge is the real world and the only thing that can prepare you for it is... the real world itself. So get out there.

You forgot Sweet Home Alabama!!!

Biggest AFC movie ever. They're going after a flakey b1tch, and they're both seemingly oneitised.

I have to say "The New Guy" as a DJ movie. It shows the other aspect about being a DJ, the power to influence people. And because of that the chicks want him badly.
One quote I remember about the movie is when the chick tells him "I wish I had the confidence you have, you seem to know exactly who you are."
This quote sums up what we really reach to achieve, knowing and being sure of who you are, A MASTER DJ :D
