I knew this facebook thing wasn´t a good idea, after resisting it for years now I find myself looking up exes from more than a decade ago with whom I completely lost contact, and high school crushes. And its strangely tempting to add them as friends, but at the same time I can´t help but feel there is something weird about this.

So I guess what I´m asking is for some ppl opinions on this, especially if they did ever did something similar... any good experiences with getting back in touch with women from your personal pre historic times?

Facebook is so lame for that precise reason.

So many better ways to spend your time.

Back in my AFC days, I looked up on Facebook this HB who had dropped me. BIG MISTAKE. I saw her with her new squeeze. I haunted me for weeks. I eventually moved on but it made the process that much harder.

Learn from the past. Do not dwell on it.

Maybe it's just the fact that stuff doesn't bother me much (ex's with other people), but I haven't had an issue.

In fact, a girl I dated in 8th grade, and hadn't talked to since sophomore year of HS, saw on Facebook that I was no longer in my LTR. A week later she was in my bed. I can credit that one directly to Facebook.

I also started talking to another ex (by far my hottest ex) and I'm trying to work that out. So far, the closest I've gotten is her mentioning hooking me up with her best friend (who is also hot). So, I'm 2/2 with at least somewhat good experiences.

But I don't think it's for everyone. In both cases with me, they initiated the contact. And if seeing them with someone else would bother you, don't even try!

In my case, regarding the women I´m considering adding, I'm totally over them, so I´m not afraid of getting attached again or catching oneitis again, these are women I haven´t heard from for more than 10 years. My concern is mostly how weird will it be to initiate contact out of the blue with ppl I have only known as little more than teenagers, in some cases... and yes, some (not the ones I´m considering) have become uglier.

It has kinda worked out for me. It is kinda the same as ganji games. You come back after a few years with a clean slate. I've banged a few chicks I hadn't seen in about 3 or 4 years after friending them on Facebook.

You don't need an excuse to cut contact. If you don't want to be in contact or you think it's detrimental, just cut the chord.
Or at least block her posts, and block her from chat. That way, she won't be "popping up" anywhere.

Its interesting to me. An old oneitus (I mean like the OMEGA oneitus) is married with a kid. She married this obese dude, and I'm 99% sure her kid is from a previous relationship.

She's basically middle-aged now. She seems happy enough but that certainly isn't where I'd want to be in my 20's.

It makes you realize how trivial these girls are. These same girls you rested all your happiness on back in the day. The girls that would be your soul-mate and give you eternal bliss (ie, ego-gratification). Guh! All that wasted emotional distress!! If only I could tell myself back then to stop fvcking dreaming about your Romantic Comedy ending and STUDY something!!!!

You shouldn't worry about it being weird. What do you have to lose? (Them being your facebook friend) oh well... If you want to add them just do it. Send a message with it too. Like hey it's been a while saw you on the site thought I would see how you are doing, where you are at with life, etc... who knows... may work out nice and if not... you haven't seen them in years anyway so what do you really care?
