Did becoming unplugged change what music you listen to?

Now every time I listen to a song, I pay more attention to what the lyrics are saying. Idk that it changed who I listen to, so much as how I listen to it.

I enjoy the music I listen to more because I listen to it with a red pill lense. I mostly listen to Rock/Metal, and I still do, but now find myself listening to some rap too (never thought I would).

For example, I was listening to the song "Tornado of Souls" by Megadeth. I think the song came out in the early '90's before I was born. The dude was basically talking about his experience with a girl. It's almost like the theme of the entire song was about becoming unplugged.

"Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin, which came out in the early '70's, seems like it's referring to a woman's hypergamy throughout the song. Maybe I'm off a little, but not by much I think.

When I unplugged my headphones and started listening over speakers, same songs sound like whole different songs :p

Not 100%, but getting unplugged DID change my taste of my daily doses of music.

Nowadays I listen more to instrumental/classical music than your most popular pop song. Even if I listen to pop songs, I am fully aware they are what they are: Entertainment for the ears, and most of their lyrics are shyt.

Music for me is, mostly, a means to invoke the gods. By that I mean the real, polytheistic (Greek, Roman, Viking, or even Aztec, Maya, Egyptian, Sumerian, ect) ones.

When I do a morning workout, I put some (Viking) Metal (or equivalent) on, so I can access the energy of a war god archetype. (Ares/Athena)

When I need to do some work, I might put some relaxing classical/epic OST/motivational/epic battle music on. (Hermes/Demeter) Athena for things involving strategy, etc.

When I am with a girl, I might put some romantic music on. Or I might put on some appropriate and active dance music, quickstep for example, and lead her mood with some dancing. (Aphrodite/Eros/Dionysus)

When I am studying, I might again listen to some relaxing classical music.

When I am about to go out and want to get a more confident vibe, then again (viking) metal is the one which works for me.

There are plenty of gods (or their archetypes) one can invoke this way. Sadly for most people and NPC's, most 'progressive' 'music', at best, distances people from any divine archetypes, at worst, is utterly degenerate. Then again, it is a good thing for high quality men(and women), as it reduces the competition.

Not really. The difference is thd fluffy ballads are disigned by plugged in people. I still enjoy the guitar work though.
Yeah, sometimes it's hard to imagine famous people, even in music, are mostly plugged in like the rest of society. We highly regard these people because of their skill and performances. Still enjoy the music, it's just hard not to view every song through a red pill lense.
