I am taking in 100-150 from isopure shakes, the rest i get from eating food... I did notice a gain in muscle when i increased my protein intake. I was thinking of buying casein protein for nighttime...
P.S.- your picture link is broken (deleted), i am not trying to be a stripper, i said i wanted to get bigger then cut body fat, right now i am bulking otherwise i wouild be eating salad, fruits and protein all day to cut fat out...
This is part of your problem. Your incorporating a ton of supplements as your main path to fulfilling your protein goal. This will not work in the long run. It will only teach you bad habits of counting on supplements to carry you.

Learn to make real food, ground beef, ground turkey, chicken, tuna, eggs, egg whites, peanut butter, whole wheat bread(no yeast) and such staples for your protein and use supplement as supplements not the majority of your protein.

Lol i just need to gain like 20lb of muscle, lower my body fat and ill look like you... oh yeah and shave my chest hair.

Yes yes, shave EVERYTHING,not just chest hair.

Ill get a whole bunch of chicken and yams tomorrow to keep throughout the week, I always eat out so dont really know how to cook it. What do you do with ground beef? just burgers?

It's easy to eat out at restaurants. Order a chicken salad or chicken breast. No dressings, sauces or croutons.

At the moment I eat a lot of fiber from cereal, apples, whole wheat bread. Protein from Subway subs (grilled chicken), mixed salad with beans when at work, salmon teriyaki from time 2 time, I drink a lot of coffee so i get my daily non fat milk from from the coffee.

Get whole wheat bread without yeast from Trader Joes or your local grocery store if possible.

Subway chicken is crap and full of added ingredients. If your your stuck eating out check out Robek's,if you have them in your area. Teriyaki will basically kill any type of leanness you are working for. You can almost drink non fat milk non stop and not get fat as long as you try hard in the gym, cause your body will put it all to work.

today I did 4 sets of squats with a 50lb bar (to start), basically felt my lower back , legs and a little bit around the neck.

At that weight you shouldn't feel it so much in your lower back. Just focus purely on form, form form form form form. Intensity comes 2nd most.

And for what it's worth.....this is me from this past summer....I'm a lot bigger now. 5 8" 160lbs at 6% bodyfat almost year round. Gonna push hard for 163 at 4-5% this summer.

I'm the middle one.

my neck hurts from the squats i did yesterday. At the back of the neck, there is a bone that kind of sticks out more than the rest, it hurts... maybe because the bar was close to it when i was doing my set?

in the future do i lean my head and neck forward a little when i do my set?

the bar should never rest on any bone in your neck. It should rest on soft tissue (that being your trap muscles).

Head tilt shouldnt be to much of an issue, Ideally when you gain more control over muscular contraction you should look at a slightly downward angle, which isnt really a downward angle but is actually a neutral position.

you shaved everything? arms, chest legs? how did you do the back? and how many times a week ?

nice 6 pack.
I'd shave everything clean with an electric trimmer at least. Arm,legs, chest, armpits lower back....it takes away from lean and cleanliness.

Back....it actually takes a lot of time to develop a back that you can isolate fully during workouts. Most people tend to workout their arms during back workouts. You'll know once you learn to really feel it in your back trust me,it's almost a weird feeling at first.

Take your pick, remember, form form form....don't worry about reps or sets.

The bar should be across your traps. It sounds like you have it too high up, so lower it and rest it on soft tissue and you should be good to go.

Keep using the bar for now, and really focus on driving your heels into the ground and keeping your back completely straight.

First time I did a bar only squat, I couldn't balance and fell over. Just keep it up and you'll improve very quickly.

I respectfully disagree w/ blink's take on isolating for back development... the back contains a group of big and powerful muscles such as the lats, erector spinae and all muscles that stabilize the scapula. These muscles are built for heavy ass pulling movements. Keep in mind however, we have different training philosophies...

In my experience back development comes from heavy lifting, and like blink said, can take years to develop. My back/shoulders is one of my strengths. Its gotten to the point where I have a great deal of difficulty buying clothes that fit right. Anytime I buy a dress shirt I have to spend an extra $20 to get it tapered, even for the "athletic cut" shirts. I wear around 30-31" waist pants, w/ 42" chest and my shoulder girdle is around 52-54" ... and I'm only 5'8". Thank god I get free scrubs at work!

Here's an old back shot I found... its probably around 2.5 years old now.

My secrets to back development is lots of heavy ass pulling movement. Don't try to isolate... If you have 400-500 lbs of steel hanging off of your shoulder girdle when you perform a deadlift, you probably won't need to isolate anything to stimulate growth. Similarly when you have 100+ lbs hanging off your waist during your pull ups or are doing dumbell rows w/ 120 lb dumbells you really don't need to worry about isolating anything. Your back will get heavily recruited whether you like it or not! Furthermore, your central nervous system will get shocked to the point of stimulating growth.

Your neck hurts because you have no traps. You have no traps because you dont deadlift or clean.

Regarding the back, width is largely determined by skeletal structure. Fugly, for example, has a very wide shoulder girdle, and thus can add a lot of sweeping lat width to his back. Not everyone has this to work with. I have a narrower shoulder girdle, so my back grows in thickness and trap height.

do i need a weight belt for when i do the pull ups? or should i just do more pull ups with out the extra weight?

Im working out my back tomorrow, so ill add extra weight for my sets. Dont think we are allowed to do a power clean @ my gym (never saw anyone do it). Ill do the deadlift and squats.

my BCAA came in (Xtend) do you drink it during the work out too? i used to take it before and after, but im finding out that its also good to take it during the workout. ?

Depends on how many pull ups you can do w/ just your body weight. I'd suggest adding weight once you're doing more than 12.

Wasabi: You DEFINITELY are NOT ready to use steroids. No offense but its clear your not dedicating yourself to your goal. Also you have an extreme lack of knowledge on what movements to do in the gym that are geared towards bulking AND how to structure your diet.

It also looks like your sugar intake is a little high based on your pics. Those breakfast cereals usually have 18-30 g of sugar for 3/4 of a cup.

Fugly covered a lot of the bases already but I just want to EMPHASIS that without a proper diet, steroids or not, it won't matter.

I was soooo dedicated to putting on size in my early twenties that I use to wake up at 1am every night during the week and eat my 6th meal of the day........yeah pretty crazy, but guess what.... it worked.

Bulking Basics:

1.5g of protein /lb of bodyweight

3-5g of carbs/lb of bodyweight (depending on metabolism....do you know your BMI??)

Eat 5-7x a day, and eat a MINIMUM of 3,000 cal per day and slowly increase your calorie intake every other week. I usually do a 40/40/20 split when I bulk because I have a fast metabolism. That means 40% of my calories come from protein, another 40 from carbs and 20 from healthy fats

Don't ignore healthy fats especially when you start to lean out; grapeseed, flax, fish oil, avocados, egg whites etc

----------------------------------------------------

You can EASILY put on another 15 lbs if you follow this routine religiously. How bad do you want it? Are you willing to skip out on weekend drinking to accomplish your goal???

Also everyone's talking about gear here, no one's talking about the side effects. Most get horrible post cycle acne on their body. You'll notice that your skin will improve when your on it, but quickly go haywire especially with Test when you get off.

Gyno is a serious concern with Test as well, and can strike pretty quick even after just one cycle if your pre-disposed to it.

Lastly the psychological dependence it creates is also hard to deal with..... when you get close to the end of your cycle you won't want to get off.

Personally I don't think roids are a bad thing to the educated seasoned lifter. You are NOT CLOSE to being at the stage and DEFINITELY will end up doing more harm than good in the long run without proper education.

-Gyno is only an issue if you touch the higher more powerful, but cheaper steroids, test, dbol fall in that category but even then the only ones I know that have gotten it are the idiots who take way too much. There are steroids that NO WAY POSSIBLE can give you gyno, thing is people won't pay the $$$ for them cause test is dirt cheap.(Anavar and Winstrol, both were once prescribed to children,Var still is,but no one wants to pony up the $$$ for them)

-As for acne,I've never once seen anyone get it on their face, just mild break outs on their back, but I believe that test has just multiplied the existing acne of a poor nutritional basis.

-For those who are opposed to performance enhancing drugs let me ask you this.....
Do you take creatine? (In my case I tried Kre-Alkalyn when i first lifted)
Do you take a form of protein supplement that has trans fat ingredients? How about a form of nitric oxide?
How about a US-sold,Redline?

All are legal, but are known to have dangerous consequences.

When I tried Kre-Alkalyn I could control my pee once I started,it would just dribble on for minutes after, wasting time. This wasn't only an issue with me,my workout buddy noticed the same. Besides the fact that creatine, can be found in food naturally, which is enough for your body,it takes water from your vital organs and feeds it to the muscles.....Your vital organs are a higher priority then your muscles....

I've seen RTD protein shakes sold at 24 Hour with partial hydrogenated oils=trans fat.

Nitric oxide supplementation is a new concept......it took steroids almost 40+ years before they were banned and deemed 'bad'.....I'm sure some day people will look into these multitudes of diarrhea complaints from users of it.

By the way hgh>steroids once you hit 25+. I would attempt to try it now,but I'm too young. I dont want to fall a victim to acromegaly.

So what?

Who here actually realizes his "genetic potential"? How do you know the day that you've realized it? And what difference does it make? The key is CONSTANT GROWTH...whether you've realized your genetic potential or not....

Most of us who train want MORE muscle...MORE sex appeal...MORE strength...steroids will help you get those, and quicker...
No one does, and that is likely because people never push the limit or stick with it long enough. I always find new ways to improve, and have not needed to use potentially risky instruments to get there. Its not my fault I am persistent and patient...

Also, what is the point of taking steroids and spending the money if all he needs to do is adjust ( read improve) his routine? If he was at a point where he was doing everything he needed too and wasn't getting the gains, than by all means. The guy doesn't even do lagit squats and could stand to make significant gains for free.

(when you're 6'2, 240 lbs. and extremely confident, who's going to fight you?)

maybe an ozzie or south african.

LMAO.... right okay. I've used them before and have advised many people on building their cycles based on their goal. I also have read every addition of Anabolics 2000 and up. Also have seen and worked with many amatuer bbers who were actively using...

-Gyno is only an issue if you touch the higher more powerful, but cheaper steroids, test, dbol fall in that category but even then the only ones I know that have gotten it are the idiots who take way too much.

Way to make a blanket assumption based of your experience. Gyno is DEFINITELY an issue with 'roids and depends on the drug yes, but also genetic pre-disposition to the condition as well. My first cycle I only took 250mg of Sustanon and get mild gyno post cycle, it hurt like hell.

My former boss was an active 'roider and had terrible gyno.... go do your homework.

Anavar is a very mild steroid, hence why the side effects are mild, it has nothing to do with cost.

-As for acne,I've never once seen anyone get it on their face, just mild break outs on their back, but I believe that test has just multiplied the existing acne of a poor nutritional basis.

Did you read my post?? Body acne is very pronounced when running a Test cycle, especially post cycle. In my case Sustanon hit my chest pretty bad post cycle because its a test blend...

True everyone is different, but body acne will occur.

Your also naive and filled with a "know it all" complex when you actually know very little. Comparing fats in protein and steroids to show the health dangers kinda says it all about you.... zero credibility.

Blink: Have you even done a cycle??? My guess is no

Thanks for responding to my post...I responded in bold.
True...most people don't; so what? If you can achieve your goals quicker, why not do it? I've used steroids, and, believe me, I had to stick to a regimented diet and training program in order to reap the impressive results. You can't just inject the needle and expect to become big and muscular the next week. Developing a big strong muscular body takes work--naturally or via chemicals. Steroids, however, will get you there quicker--much quicker. I chose to get there quicker with steroids, and I stand by my decision.

I see what you are saying, and am more than willing to admit I am pretty misinformed about steroids.

All I was offering was my opinion based on my perceived options. While I wouldn't chose to engage in steroid use myself and prefer to find new ways to enhance my workouts, I really don't have a problem with what others use ( be it drugs etc). Believe me, I would love something that could help me get some pretty nice gains, on the other hand I am happy with my overall athletic performance ( i play sports recreationally so big lifts are more of a benchmark for progress, not a goal).

Had I ever wanted to play competitively in juniors or college, someone of my stature would have most likely needed steroids to compete at all. A kid in my college class played varsity ice hockey at a D1 level. His sophomore year he was a skinny kid; maybe 160 lbs and had a respectable 20 point season. Junior year, he comes back at something closer to 190 and has a phenomenal season scoring 33 goals and making all American. Could it have been a growth spurt, or just a great summer of lifting? maybe. No matter how you cut it you got to really respect at what these things can do for you.
