I know a woman that I have come to the conclusion that she is a covert narcissist. She can’t get along with anyone for too long and usually blows up relationships, doesn’t matter male or female. Not being able to maintain relationships leaves her in a constant state of turmoil. Fighting with older acquaintances on a regular basis, leaves her having to constantly find new friends that are unaware of her bs. They all think she is a great person until she takes her mask off and they see she is a toxic b!tch. She went to therapy for 10+ years, used alcohol and weed as coping strategies and now has added antidepressants. She was all happy when California legalized marijuana, she went to her doctor and “got a card”. Yay! Now you can medicate without having to get supply in some back alley.
She still acts like a crazy b!tch, just the pace is a little slower. The side effects from the antidepressants is now she gained 20-40 lbs. So before she was hot and crazy, now she is fat and crazy. Therapist left the country so she went back to weed, alcohol and antidepressants instead of finding another therapist.
Whatever demons they are dealing with are most likely deeply rooted and they are permanently scared. I equate these types of ppl to a car with a salvaged title. On the outside it looks presentable, but under the hood there is hidden damage that will cause you trouble until you dump it.
Women are probably more prone to this problem because of their hormones and menstrual cycle fluctuating every month along with society putting them on a pedestal once their boobs develop. Society treats them differently than it treats men.
Current society also loves to promote the victim mentality. So advertising your “depression” is a sign of strength. Everyone seems to have a “disorder” these days. Maybe you’re just a little b!tch that actually has to do something with your life and stop whining and drop the entitlement. This of course is not really that accepted in the male demographic so most men are not going to advertise their struggles.
Good if someone is self aware and actively doing something to help themselves get better.
