When Lapinski stopped breathing, CPR was started and the paramedics were called. fvck that, that story just made me realize im keeping my wisdom teeth. There is so much calculation that goes into the concentration and volume of anesthesia used per patient its mind blowing. Why the hell would you sedate him MORE after coughing... when your air way is restricted you cough as his way. And there was two fvcking pieces of gauze trapped in his airway, really? God there is a reason dentists are failed doctors. Med schools didn't want them so here they are botching up peoples' mouths.Bible_Belt said:Usually, it's a little kid that they kill instead of an adult. Unlike doctors, dentists are allowed to be their own anesthesiologists. Putting someone under, keeping them there, and then bringing them back is no small accomplishment. There's a reason anesthesiologists are so highly paid and also must buy such expensive malpractice insurance. It's not the type of thing someone can master after a weekend seminar, which is about how much training a lot of dentists have with anesthesia.
