deeper friendships

hey guys,
it seems to me that i know a lot of people, i talk with them in class,etc. however, i barely get invited to do anything. basically its like we're friends but very shallow friends. what are some ways to "take it to the next level" in tems of friends? i mean go from acquaintances to real friends.

for example, i know some of the popular ppl at our school. even friends with some of them, but we only talk in class. how can i budge into the popular group?

Instead of waiting for them to invite you try to ask them to hang out. Dont wait for them to invite you, just as long as you dont seem desperate.

Start by calling them up on the weekend and seeing what they are up to.

I know your situation and i ask you this.
Do these people you talk with at school ever talk about what they are doing after school or over the weekend?

When they do that then maybe drop a subtle hint that you would be game to come along by saying something like hey that sounds like fun or i love doing that. You might get invited after saying somethign like that.

Or you can be a little more direct and say you dont have any plans yet so maybe you will give them a call to hang out.(If you dont have their number then you will need to ask for it for obvious reasons)


If they never talk about what they are doing then just ask. I usually causually bring it up with lots of people at school, especially on friday when everone is excited for the weekend, and oftentimes i get invited along to things after I ask what they are up to.
