I'd say go for it, you might find you really enjoy it and decide to pursue it more.
Personal story :
I'm currently in a 1 year massage school (about to graduate) and it has been the best decision of my life thus far. I've improved my physical health/mental health/spiritual health, challenged myself, and gotten way more comfortable around people in general, especially girls.
I hope to work in a gym/sports team or within a hospital/rehab clinic. The feeling that you helped someone feel better physically/mentally is great. A male therapist in particular has many obstacles to overcome but the challenge is worth it. You'll get homophobic men, disgusting bodies, and women who actually refuse massage from a man but these are actually a rarity.
I've actually achieved a "flow" state a few times during a massage (mostly 2 hour sessions), which I've only been able to do during a swim practice and distance running. If you've never experienced being in flow, it's incredible.
Summing it up : Go for it, nothing to lose really
