I read on another website that if performed methodically this is possible but what does it mean to perform it methodically if anyone knows?

I know in general since doing deadlifts (conventional) I do feel more sexual desire and have more wood than before and at my age this is a plus so maybe I am doing the method right already but is there truth behind this statement?

What they mean by methodically is 'on a regular basis'. Any lifting you do is bound to increase your testosterone which leads to better sexual performance and desire.

it's not so much the deadlift itself as the test increase through resistance training like Monster said. but the big multi-joint exercises (squats, deadlifts, etc) elicit a greater hormonal response than isolations, hence why your test won't rise by doing bicep curls.

OK makes all the sense in the world.

I have been doing them weekly since Jan 29th and definitely feel the difference in how I feel and look.

Thanks for the insights.

I think they make you stronger too.

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.

A lot of times I think all this talk of increased sexual prowess through the miracle of lifting is a lot of BS - the placebo effect at work. Needless to say, I am ultra-suspicious of any claims like this.

However, I think there is something to be said for compound lifts. I've been at them for a little over a year, and as far as sexual appetite, I think it has increased, a little. It's hard to quantify something like that. Anytime people comment on their own feelings of horniness, you gotta take it with a grain of salt.

I can say with absolute certainty that these lifts make you phuck so much better though. I was with one chick recently who I had also been with before I began lifting, and she said I hurt her now cause my thrusts were so intense. I totally gotta give props to deadlifts and squats for that explosive power

HAHAH. I totally noticed the same thing, i can pound my FB SO SO much harder now that I squat more.

I do believe the arguments about big lifts increasing testosterone though.

Before I started back lifting after a long long layoff I wasn't what you called out of shape and never experienced what is going on now.

This week I will be starting on my 4th month of doing the squats, deadlifts and something is definitely happening.

Somewhere I read where they took measurements of men and women after doing squats and deadlifts and it showed that blood flow had increased in the pelvis region and even days later so with better blood flow better erection and I would say that spells harder and bigger and along with increased testostrone better desire.

At 48 I will take it whatever it is thats causing this extra wood even if its all in my head... no pun intended.
