and you shall be liberated. I did it yesterday!

You don't lose any of your contacts, you can sign back in if ever you badly need to contact someone from there or something.

This will force you to get off your laptop and go out and meet women. It's ****ing amazing.

Cheers!

really good idea for newbies, but not as great for people that already understand the game.

Some of my friends who are great with women met well over a dozen women through facebook. I don't use social networking game as much as face-to-face interactions in class.

I agree, I've done a ton of picking up through fb as well.

However, not saying it from a DJ perspective, but from a more productive/libereating life perspective.

Deactivating your FB acct will not help you if you end spending the time on other useless things. My FB acct is still active yet I spend maybe 3-5 minutes on it per day just to check email messages. I dissable writing on my wall so If anybody wishes to contact me, they send it to my inbox. The first thing you may want to do is to always be ofline so people dont see you and you dont see them when you logged on. The FB chat is what consumes many people's time not the FB itself.

He's right though, the computer can suck you in!
Once you get used to being online all the time, you simply sit in front of the computer and do nothing. You browse some boring websites and expect the internet to entertain you.

This is the most dangerous thing! If you're working or playing some video game, that's ok because you're actually engaged in an activity. But just sitting there, checking facebook, reading wikipedia, doing nothing, THAT is what depresses you. At the end of the day, you will feel empty and hollow.

I found that even if you just lie on your bed for an hour, doing nothing, you will feel better than being bored in front of the computer.
I then vowed to only sit down at the PC if I have a specific purpose and reason to do so. If not, then anything is better than just mindlessly cruising the web.

Thank you, you just described yesterday. I need to figure this out as well.

i never got into facebook because i only have one best friend and it would be pretty worthless to have a bunch of people i had met through work or school to catch up with what they are doing now. call me arrogant but i care about what goes on in my life as opposed to how someone i knew in the past just went to cuba and is living the life and has the best job in the world.

my wife has facebook but she just goes on to look at girls she hated that got fat. how can that be fun? what is so good about seeing someones misfortunes in life. its like a high school reunion where everyone wants to have a better life than so and so.

i can deal with people coming and going in my life. they serve their purpose be it good or bad. but if they were so great how come i don't talk to them anymore.

I rarely use it, but when I do I just keep in touch with recent friends and just to throw some BS comments in. Never would I think of it as a dating tool.

My advice, if you have dating profiles, get rid of them. You wouldn't want friends finding out how low you've sunk.

I'm seriously thinking about deleting my FB account, but not because I spend too much time on the comp instead of out chasing women in the real world.

My biggest problem with it is that it causes too many problems with the women I'm already with.

FB is a factory that produces way too much jealousy: an ex comes out of nowhere after 5 years to say she misses me and wants to meet for a drink and I'm fighting with the current woman for days over it. Ex-boyfriends "friending" my girl for the same sh*t.

It's all a pain in the ass.

BINGO.

Exactly this. I'm tired of people complaining because I said something on FB instead of calling them.

When I got a new job 4 months ago, I decided to post it on FB right away because I was excited and thought it was less time-consuming than calling everyone up.

3 of my "friends" got pissed because of "How dare you post this on FB before calling me"...

Forget that they never said congratulations...

And same crap goes with women.
That's why I no longer add women I date. Eff that.

And if I ever add someone, it'll be the person I marry.
Other than that, my FB is for a limited few and I never update it anymore.
