It is a matter of being ethical and respecting other peoples' work that they tried so hard to accomplish. Simply because you and other people don't pay at least some kind of respect for other peoples' work, doesn't mean that he will do so as well.
How much work do you think is needed to write a book or make a DVD? Some take longer some take sooner - but all of them have one thing in common: the performer works hard for his accomplishment and puts effort while sharing his knowledge, and he deserves at least some reward for it. Maybe some day if one of you write a book or make a DVD will understand how wrong and unethical it is for these people.
