Have you ever found yourself in a relationship with a girl you are really attracted to, but slowly but surely you realize she is not that bright?

At first you might think: I'm smarter, she's prettier, so it all balances out! It doesn't, at least in my experience. In reality they end up getting annoyed by your brain. They think: "He thinks he's more smarter than I am!" I guess the saying "Water seeks it's own level" applies.

Has anyone dealt with this situation and did it work out for them?

I don't mind if they aren't book smart, but if they aren't smart enough to get clever jokes/innuendo/sarcasm, then I rarely make it past the first interaction.

Actually, I have a soft spot for book smart girls, who have little common sense. There's something about that combination that gets me going.

girl i'm seeing now is really smart. studying english history and all that. she wants to be an english teacher. smart girls really turn me on. i never date dumb girls.. it's a major turn off. i find myself pretty intelligent and i want equal amount of intelligence in my partner.

Hmm...

;)

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

Note: I was intentionally using bad grammar (more smarter) as a form of humor.

This is pretty much my most desired non-physical trait.

Somehow I think using "it's" instead of "its" was unintentional ;)
You got me there. Maybe that b*tch was smarter after all...

Seriously though, the apostrophe is the least of my worries.

Don't always be the one putting yourself out for her. Don't always be the one putting all the effort and work into the relationship. Let her, and expect her, to treat you as well as you treat her, and to improve the quality of your life.
