When a woman says this in these situations,essentially she is saying she doesn't want to be played with emotionally, end up falling for a guy and then have him break her heart by screwing around on her or dumping her after he got the goods.

Him winning her over was proving that he wanted more than that with her. In this case it has ZERO to do with her being highly attracted to him.

Very few women will not be attracted to athletes who are extremely talented on the field.

This is true. The rules are different for him as compared to non-NCAA athlete Chads on campus and middle of the bell curve non-athletes on campus.

I know he has better options than that in his DMs. He is getting approached by women in person too, and that's even uncommon for the non-NCAA athlete Chads and top tier fraternity bros on campus.

This is common. Ex-football and ex-basketball players can often live off of their NCAA athlete status until at least age 30, if not beyond.

One of the top seducers I know in real life leveraged his ex-NCAA athlete status in a country club sport (not well known) into a triple digit notch count. There were almost no professional options in his sport of choice but he had that status and is 6'4". The combination of those two things + staying in shape in his 20s post-college did help him get laid even with mediocre initial verbal game. His openers in nightlife venues were weaker than my openers. Most of our mutual social circle was not impressed with his verbal game but it didn't matter much with his looks and ex-NCAA athlete status.

However, there are videos online that suggest different otherwise. In cases such as this one that involve fame and wealth, it's fair to say that women may adapt or behave differently when these variables are in play. Travis hunter is not considered conventionally attractive. I'm sure he's also dealt with some self-esteem and self worth issues.
I know this may be crazy but just go on social media and see how many people talk about his looks

Another thing is Travis is a young guy who is dealing with sudden success syndrome (I've talked a little about it here)
When you're 23, the bar is low in what you want in a woman she just has to look good, give you a lot of sex and not nag for most 23 year olds that's great.
