Steve- get the model thing out of your head. I told you I was pulling some decent chicks at 280, so even if you just get into decent shape, you'll be fine.

I actually see a lot of posts on here, where people assume that the one or two things they don't have are what is keeping them from getting the girl.

And have the time I am sitting here reading it going-"Hey, I used to think that too, and then finally corrected the problem, and my situation didn't improve that much."

Because my game was still weak in other areas.

And absolutely don't sell your soul for to attract women. Yes, we will all do some things we'd rather spend so much time on, but don't go to extremes.

Workout

Personality, sense of humor, DJ skills will close the deal, looking good, being physcially fit will get your foot in the door. Stop making excuses and start doing.

1/24th of your day or 1 hour you can dedicate to physical fitness. If you are single and do not have kids get up before work, go do the elliptical for 30-45 mins, listen to music, read the paper, watch tv or whatever just do it. Make it a habit like taking your morning dump or having a cup of coffee. After you lose 20lbs go at night to try and meet some ladies.

Diet wise, What are you eat? I bet your diet stinks. Do you eat fast food, drink regular soda, eat lots of breads, pizza and pasta? Lay out a days worth of food for us to see what you eat? You don't have to be the best looking, or the most ripped guy in the room but be fairly lean, no double chin, and have the appearance that you care about your appearance and workout. If you are 40-50lbs overweight how are you going to last 20mins in the bedroom?

Steve, getting your body into good, fit, decent, attractive, healthy shape (not necessarily the cut "model" shape) is the most visible thing you can do to improve yourself. A girl can't tell how great a guitarist you are by the way you look. But she may hang around a little bit longer and find out, if you don't have a gut.

Three days a week work out for half an hour with weights. Three days a week, spend another half an hour on a stationary bike or treadmill. That is NOT spending all your free time in a gym, right? But that's all it takes.

Stop making dumb excuses.

Then, learn to eat "clean". Figure out what your BMR is and what your daily caloric intake would be to maintain that (there are online calculators to help you figure that out), then devise a meal plan that comes in below that count about 15 to 20%. Make the meals consist of mostly lean protein, then some "complex carbs" and "essential fats". Drink lots of water.

Your current eating/exercise habits are now are giving you bad results and nothing's going to change - until you change what you do.

you think a half hour is enough? you are 26, I do wonder how much more difficult it becomes between say 35-45 to keep weight off then in your 20's. I see more out of shape men in that age range then I do in the 20 something age range and I wonder if it is mostly because they just get lazy or if most peoples metabolism does slow so much that it gets much more difficult even with the same exercise and eating habits they had in their 20's.
I am 38 and it is a little bit more harder to keep weight off, although, I now run an ecommerence biz and don't work out as much.

Stick to whole foods, not processed. Eat about 1 gram of protein for every pound you weigh.

Despite being 38 I am almost always carded when buying booze and women give me compliments on how young I look when they find out how old I really am.

When you are down to your ideal body weight try wearing newer "mall" clothes. They'll give a younger appearance. I am lucky I can still get away with that but who knows for how long.

Carbs will help put wrinkles on your face, also, I have found.

I forgot to mention, stay away from drinking lots of beer. If there is anything that deflates my muscle tone it is beer.

Keep hydrated. Work yourself up to drinking a gallon of water a day.

I actually don't drink all that much. One possibility that has just occurred to me is that some of the medication I am taking for asthma may be part of it. Last spring my asthma symptoms returned after not having any for years, and I got prescribed singular, a steriod inhaler and anther type of inhaler, as well as nasal spray for my allergies I get in the spring. I also gained another 15 pounds in a couple months after starting all that. This fall I didn't need it and I also started to diet and exercise and initially lost a bunch of weight. However, my asthma still acts up a little with exercise so I had no choice but to start taking the singular and the other stuff again before the holidays. I gained some of the weight back but it could have just as easily been my eating too much holiday food.

However, this spring I have been doing the same, diet and exercise wise, that I was doing before when I was losing about 2lbs a week , but I have not lost any weight these past couple of weeks, in spite of me exercising all the time and mostly eating healthy. I am totally disgusted with myself and my appearance right now. Even if a woman likes me I am too embarrassed to be with her in my current state. And I doubt they would want to be with me anyway, if they knew about all the drugs I am taking right now to fight this asthma.

This is normal. You're exercising & eating at the level to maintain your current body. It's happened to me in various stages of my weight loss as well as building up strength & muscles. I'd see a significant improvement, then it goes flat and I get nothing more. It's because I got into a routine and needed to push myself harder onto the next level. I did it by joining fitness groups doing boot camps for 6 weeks. Training with other people forces you to discipline yourself and push it harder. After a boot camp, I'd see a great leap towards my goals again, and for the next few months I'd see results. Then it would repeat - I'd reach the balance of energy-in equal energy-out and see no further improvement. That's when I know it's boot camp time again.

Lots of people bump into this and get depressed & frustrated as they're not getting any result despite regular working out and eating well. The reason is very simple: they're not working hard enough. :D Don't be discouraged by it.

You should spend some time in the Health & Fitness section of SoSuave. It is a goldmine.

I have recently been playing some fun games with a 19 year old at my Wednesday night dance class. She is f**king gorgeous, and I do all the David D shyte witn the result that this honey is emailing me " I love it when you tell me to turn up to class early Jophil. I get a tingle of excitement when I read your emails. " and so on . Geez, I am almost 52 and not George Clooney.
This babe has a B/f - somewhere in the shadows - I've never seen the kid, and I also have another G/f who is devoted to me..
Anyways, I am planning to fly over to MIami Fl soon for a vacation and check out the condos for when I retire at 55.. .. This teenager is wanting to come too !
I've created a monster... What happens now - her Dad is younger than me ! HOw am I going to tell him that I am taking his daughter to Florida ?

I swear- this DJ stuff has its rewards but it does not come without issues.

Let me know if you actually bang this chick? I am kind of skeptical of a guy in his 50's getting in a 19 year old pants. Late twenites yes but 19???? If you bang this chick you better post a thread on it.

Ok - I promise to reveal all in fine detail .
Geez I am kind of in a state of suspended disbelief myself. Before I started to break out of my conventional thinking abiut two years ago I would NEVER have even considered getting the digits and emails of young women like this. MY beliefs would have stopped me dead in my tracks - now I believe that anything is possible and when I slowly changed my thinking my behavior changed and then resullts started to flow.
I still do not GET a lot of what is happening and why, BUT I cannot deny the fact that I have a 19 year old hottie emailing me and flirting at very chance she gets . Hell, she gets jealous now if I dance with other women. WTF !
I have pressed some buttons here and it is almost scary to think of the implications. I hope her Dad has a sense of humor.

I've seen this topic come up quite a bit

For anyone in their 30s and thinks they can't be in shape - look what this guy did. Take a look at his month to month pictures - look what he did in just 6 months.

www.johnstonefitness.com

I've been on the forums there for a couple of years now. There's alot of good information and helpful people on the forums. The people on these forums are smart and know what they are talking about.

You don't have to spend all day in the gym, you don't have to spend thousands of dollars in supplements.

I'm following a program I purchased from a trainer - a set meal plan with appropriate amounts of protein/fats/carbs 6 times a day. 30 to 45 minutes of elliptical each morning and 30 to 45 minutes of weights 4 or 5 times a week.

When you get your diet right along with weights and some cardio, the changes happen very quickly. Don't think you can't get your bodyfat % down to 12% or less - you can.
