Well, considering our busy schedules we were able to meet up today for a few hours for the first time today. To my surprise she looked 10x better than the photos that I have seen of her. She is 5 years older than I am but very, very attractive.

At first I thought she was gonna flake on me when she had called. She just said that she was running a little behind and would be about 10 min late. We met at the coffee house and took a walk along the lake boardwalk. It got too windy out so I decided to ditch the coffee and go to a nice bar for a bloody mary.....you know, sunday fun day.

It went well I think. I remained aloof yet charming during the entire afternoon. There wasn't any awkward silence during our 3 hours out, there was playful hitting involved when I had teased her on occasion as well. I'm basically saying, she was smiling and laughing pretty much the entire time.

As we were walking back to our cars I told her I would like to see her again and take her out for dinner and a few drinks afterwards, to which she agreed.

The question is....should I wait for her to contact me first following the first date? I don't wanna blow this by being too reserved either and not calling her.

Looking for some good opinions on what the next step should be.

Well, you can w8 for her to call and if she doesn't call her after 2-3 days saying that you wanna arrange a date but not for this week cause you're busy!
Pretty easy... Just care not to show needy or anxious about it... :)

Good luck...

I got told to never ask for a second date while on the first date... But I'm glad it worked for you! Sure didn't for me lol.

Sounds like this girl was very much into you from the get go, I think you could have pushed it more with some subtle touching just to see how she would react and maybe escalate a bit more. Def something to do on the next date. I'd call her in a few days. I wouldn't have asked for a second date on the same date tho lol

Sh!t! Well it's too late now. As far as the light touching, I think she responded well to it. I only did it once, we were up at the bar ordering our drinks, that's when I gently put my hand on the lower part of her back when I asked her want she wanted to drink. I completely agree that I will have to step it up the next time we go out......that is if I didn't screw it up by asking her out. I guess time will tell.

The "rule" about not asking for a second date while you are still on the first is not carved in stone. IF the girl is VERY much into you, then you could ask her to swim to the Antarctic with you and she would probably simply ask what swimsuit she should wear.
The point is that her HIGH IL in you will allow you a wide margin for error (up to a point). The more a woman likes a man, the more she will see your "mistakes' as cute, not annoying.

However, now that you have issued an invite to a dinner date, it is up to you to follow up and set up the date .. Do not wait a week to call her and do not wait for her to call you .
I would wait two days and then shoot her a short C&F email. She will reply quickly, and if you continue teasing her and turning up the heat(subtly !) she will be eager to go out on this date.
Know this - she will inform all her girlfriends, and their main topic will be YOU and what she plans to wear on the date.

Last minute advice -
Create anticipation in her. Reveal only the bare minimum about yourself at this time. Choose a middle of the road restaurant. TELL her what time to arrive (or what time you will pick her up). Dress well- NO tees and NO jeans.

Good hunting ...
