Yeah, sure, you're 300lbs and you're gonna sprint HIIT style? Good luck.
BCAA has good anti-catabolic qualities but there's the question or whether it jacks insulin levels, thus making it fat sparing as well as protein sparing.
Guys, why are you making such a pig's ear of this? Dropping bodyfat is so much easier than building muscle, it's simply a case of watching your diet and doing more cardio.
- - Add the cardio of your choice. (or do more/longer sessions)
- Use a carb cutoff.
- Drink green tea (or take the pills).
- Get your EFAs in (fish oil, flax oil, omega3 pills)
- Stick to lean proteins after your carb cutoff (chicken, tuna, etc) and lean protein throughout the day too.
- Be more meticulous about food choices in general, i.e. less junk and cheat meals.
- Be more meticulous about food combinations (pro/fat pro/carb) if this affects you.
- Drop or minimise dairy products if you're sensitive to them.
- Lift as you always would, i.e. keep trying to progress.
- Do not curb calories or carbs to keep you operating at anything less than peak efficiency.
And quite frankly, you should be doing all of those anyway to avoid getting fat in the first place.
I've done all these things for the past 3-4 months, have no visible fat gain, do no cardio outside of softball (and we know most of softball/baseball is standing around waiting for something to happen) and i've jumped from 162 to 180 lbs and my lifts have increased pretty well
I only just started the green tea about 2 weeks ago too.
