I go to our local library all the time to read the newspaper, I often pass some cute ladies studying or conducting business seated at a table. What do you think would be some good openers to approach them?

You: "Hi. Can you tell me where is the nearest Starbucks?"

Watch hear reaction closely, if she seems friendly/open/receptive follow up with

"You seem like a cool girl. Would you like to hang out sometime?"

That´s it. Dont overthink. Keep it simple.

Don’t you need to build rapport and connection first? before escalating to meet somewhere?

Go with a funny opener. Assume they work there if it's clear they don't. Ask them where to find stuff in the library, and when they say they don't work there, ask them what they do and go from there.

Ask her about the book she’s reading. Talk about it for a bit, share interests, then get personal and tease/neg some. Say that she seems cool and you should go out sometime.

"Hey, you shouldn't be reading that, that looks like way too much fun" as she sits there all immersed

A lot of Dallas Public Library locations are creepy. There are homeless people. I can't imagine it as a pickup place at all.

You: "Hi. Can you tell me where is the nearest Starbucks?"
Can't use that one anymore. Everyone has a cell phone and can use a search engine to find nearby coffee shops. Roosh used to do the "pet shop" opener, which search engines/smartphones also killed.

You - Great opener to her
Her - Shhhh! People are trying to read, this is a Library
A likely reaction.

Ask her about the book she’s reading. Talk about it for a bit, share interests, then get personal and tease/neg some. Say that she seems cool and you should go out sometime.
This is good if you don't get interrupted by other people.

good tip. Hey man, Im gonna go for a walk at this popular walking trail this evening. What would your opener be at that situation?
An extremely rare astrological event is happening tonight. What's your horoscope? OMG you have to come!

Girls at libraries can be geeky and studying, so therefore be busy, stressed and generally hard to get to reciprocate.

Openers aren't that hard to figure out, once you get some experience. "Nice sweater, it matches your ..."/"Interesting cover on that book, it reminds me of ..."/"Hey, is the coffee any good here? ..."/bla bla bla.

Speaking from my situation, my challenge is to not become too creative or unique. Many posters here on the forum have good perspectives I think. You want openers that gets the job done, but absolutely not more than that. If it's "too much", you come across as needy, low self-esteem, over qualifying. You want just enough to get the fire going, and otherwise be cool, laidback, casual, normal.
