Methuselah
Don Juan
The world is a funny place these days, I've learned so much recently and my world view has dramatically changed in recent months.
I see things very, very differently than I did a year, a month, a week, even a day ago. I'm at a point in my life where I don't know what is what, because everything seems to be one big cluster****. My journey and experiences into and now, out of the PUA community has been one element in my constantly changing world view. Along the way, I've found the following to be very true.
1) Emotions: First of all there are way too many emotions flying around today. Then, people get filled to the brink with them, and nobody has any idea how to express them properly and appropriately. People bottle them up, release them at the wrong times, and misdirect them. Most of us don't even know what we really want (I don't), our perceptions have been overloaded with so much bull**** input that it's made us lose touch with reality, with being human. We care more about meeting societal standards (big wallet, nice house, fast car, and bimbo who likes us for all of those previous possessions) than what's really important in life. Simplify things, organize things, rationalize your irrationality. Cut the bull****. Don't worry about the "he-said, she-said" bull****, and start thinking deep and thinking real. Stop being a victim of circumstance and identify your problems - whatever they might be - and work on solving them instead of letting your emotions take control of you. Simplify your emotions, understand your emotions, recognize your emotions, then...you can control your emotions.
2) Screw the playbook: To anyone who still thinks some guru, or some book will hold all the answers and tell you all the rules, YOU ARE SADLY MISTAKEN. Love is a battlefield, and so is life. There are NO RULES. In my town up is up and red is red, but in your town red is pink, and pink is gay. I retract that, there are rules, but they can and will always be broken. The girl you think you should play it smooth really just wants you to be a strait shooter, and the girl has a boyfriend will always cheat when the appropriate opportunity presents itself. Who among us can claim that they wouldn't do the same? This isn't just a social reality either, you can see it everywhere, take education for example, your teachers will tell you one thing, but life will continuously show you a different truth. Answers only raise more questions, and in the end, we don't know ****. So what do you do? Realize that, find humility in the fact that YOU are only in control of yourself in this big world, and thats it. Accept that fact, and you'll shed layers of stressful bull**** in an instant. So the girl I thought who really liked me, doesn't like me. Oh well that's life, move on, there will be more to come so do not worry. The world is a confusing and crazy place, enjoy it while you can. Cut the bull**** and don't worry.
3) Adversity develops character: On any level, adversity will stimulate your mind. Whether big or small, having hurdles in your path will keep you sharp, attentive, and ready for the next obstacle. Those who cruise through life easy are dumbfounded and unprepared for times of trials, and will not prevail through them. Those who seek out challenges and stay on their toes will not be so negatively affected. Idle minds are the devils playground as they say. Nothing could be more true. Keep yourself busy and constantly challenged, whether you invent the hurdle or it is thrown in your way through the journey of life, these things will reveal to you who you really are.
