I'm not sure what you meant, but if you interpreted "space" as "mouse scrolling space" (verticaly long texts in other words) rather than computer diskstorage, then you are wrong.
The reason for posts get deleted is the shortage of diskstorage, the new posts overwrites the old. Lorenzo's signature is about max 621 byte (621 characters). A PICTURE is different, for instance the simple "Post reply" icon, is 2014 byte large. That's over 3 times Lorenzo's sig. A normal picture at Hotornot is 90 000 byte in size...
That's why imo images should be disable.

nonetheless, that sig does take up 3/4 the page. oh well

I've edited my last post for more accurate data...
Imagine newbees running a "post your hot babes here", could easily get over Megs, I've seen that happen in another forum, which eventually had to disable images.

i like ht pics, they add a nice touch, instead of killing htem off, make it so that we can borrow them from a different website, that way it will only have to load in the web page, and not actually be on the sosuave servers.

There was a board of girl talked about here a few month ago where you saw one line answer with HUGE pics... Pages and pages for thread with almost nothing to read. Just the same cute pics again and again. It is just like talking to someone that would always begin his answer by: "my name is... and i work at.. and i like..." Pointless!
Reading on computer is not as much enjoyable as on paper so i am more favorable of simplicity for the sake of readability.
The same reason why i dont care much about the overall design of the site: It's functionnal and i like that.
Short sigs are fine, but if you want us to know who you are, just fill-in the identification card or start another "Get to know.." thread!
