Do you mean, you need to add 5 lbs total, but there are no 2.5 lbs at the gym (which you need 2 of because a barbell has 2 sides)?
yes

So you thinking of only adding a 5 lb to one side of the barbell?

Personally, I would avoid that, and just add 2 x 5 lb (one each side), for a 10 lb total increase.

If your diet is right and you have enough rest in between, at this stage of your progress you should handle that pretty easily.
I know I can handle it now, but I can't handle it when I'm at my max... If I have to add 2.5lbs on each side, every time I hit the gym, I'm adding a total of 60lbs in 4 weeks.

adding 5 lbs on each side everytime would mean 120 lbs in 4 weeks

Status: 4 weeks later:
74,6 kg = 164,5 lbs
gained about 7lbs

Current worksets:
Squat:
3x5: 145 lbs
gained 70 lbs to first week

Bench press:
3x5: 140 lbs
gained about 20 lbs

Deadlift:
3x5: 145 lbs
gained 25 lbs
I could go upto 200 or even more lbs, which I did, but I fear I'm hurting my back - what should I do

I must say I really have gotten stronger so far :) and gained about 8 lbs in one month... Could have been 10 LBS but I cheated a bit on the dieet, cause of my birthday, sorry :s

Misscalculated, forgot to add a 12.5kg bar... so that makes:

squat: 170 lbs
deadlift: 170 lbs

bench press was correct

powerclean: 75 lbs
press: 70 lbs

Damn I got to admit, I really have gotten alot stronger than when I started and it went SUPER fast :) I'm keeping the program up, but it's hard to stick to my dieet with 13 hour workshifts, anyhow I reduced my shift to only one now so I can start sticking to it again

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

Got gloves, when I deadlift, my hand sweat and I can bearly keep the bar in my hands cause it slips out :p. My pants are getting thight around my legs, I had to use my bike last week, my pants nearly ripped...

status: weight: 168lbs
squat: 240 lbs - thinking about sticking to this weight for 2 sessions to improve my shape while doing my squats; adding 10 lbs each time I hit the gym is going to stop about now, I can feel I'll have to slow down from now on
deadlift: 240 lbs

bench press 155 lbs

powerclean: 95 lbs
press: 95 lbs

Remember that when you're using gloves and belt, you're limiting your grip strength and lower back development.
I think you should continue without it, and rather save it for the really heavy weights.

Woooooow,

So the last 2 days I've been under quite some stress from school. When I hit the gym I had alot of rage going and I don't know why but it really seemed to help my training :D cause I added 20 lbs on my squats again and 5 lbs on bench.

Currently doing:
Squat: 260 lbs
bench: 165 lbs
deadlift: 240 lbs (leg was bleeding like a pig, wound opened up again :s) this weight is clearly my max atm for deadlifts
(all worksets are still 3x5)

about the gloves: bar slips from out off my hand so I really need to use em on deadlifts (sweaty hand :s and no powder)
belt: really helps my shape and less stress in my spine so ain't going to go without it

the hardest part of my training is keeping the eating up cause I really lack time to buy/cook stuff etc...

credos, i'm deadlifting and squatting the same weights you are.

I'm currently deadlifting 265lbs and was starting to have trouble and barely able to keep the bar in my hands. This easily changed when i switched my grip to one hand over and one hand under.

currently at 265 i am starting to have trouble holding even this weight. When i hit the 300lb mark i may need gloves. I've also been working out my forearms and hopefully this will help with my grip.

Already doing one hand over and one hand under... Rubbing my hands on the floor for dust to help get my hands dry isen't even helping :p (trick i got from gymnastics)... I know you're at the same weights like me on squat and bench but you're way ahead of me in benching :)
