In one of my nervous system classes, a lecturer with a pHD in muscle diseases said creatine is extremely safe and that is given to people with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. It doesn't cure them but it helps them to retain strength for as long as they can, and she claims similar effects in regular people. She also said it was relatively safe. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
