Dude, this is totally a DJ movie. Non-stop action, hardcore sex, and lots of blood. Everyone on this board should rent it. I just watched it for the second time. It's about this guy (Jason Statham - you know, Transporter) who gets poisoned and only has a few hours to live. He keeps himself alive with adrenaline rushes.

The movie kicks ass. Plus it has some funny moments.

I really don't know why Fight Club is such a favorite on this forum - it should be CRANK. One of my favorites by far. Check it out.

Here's the trailer in case you're wondering: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEXsOqdzYhE

DJ or not, that was a s.hitty ass movie.
Did you even see it? Or are you just saying that based on the trailer/reviews?

That was a really good movie, and I'm not sure why you don't think so.

What kind of movies do you usually watch? Name some of your favorites.

I did. I think we can all agree that movies based off of video games are some of the worst movies ever created. Doom, Silent Hill anyone? This one was no different. It was basically Grand Theft Auto the movie. The worst part was I was with my parents. Especially during that one scene where he is f.ucking his girlfriend in front of a bunch of Japanese tourists. "Oh but he did it to survive. He needed that adrenaline rush." Just plain rediculous man. It was flat out embarassing.

My favorites? Well that I've seen recently?
Breach, The Departed, Deja Vu, Borat.
Of all time? Shawshank Redemption and Saving Private Ryan hands down. Actually just about anything with Denzel Washington was good. Man on Fire, Training Day, Remember the Titans, etc.

I hated Fight Club too...so maybe I'm weird.

Yes, you are. ;) But at least you liked some damn good movies. (And Silent Hill was out of control amazing, btw.)

You were embarassed during Crank because you were with your parents. But you probably wouldn't even like it alone considering the thought of a Grand Theft Auto movie doesn't make your precum in your shorts.

Dude...all I'm saying is when somebody makes a movie, I prefer the director not to be on the same stuff the main character is.

Yes I was embarassed cuz I was with my parents. If I wanted to watch two people going at it in public...I could google it in the privacy of my own bedroom. And I'd probably actually get to see some boobies too.

I just prefer movies with more plot substance. Not just "DJ" characters.

Re:

I thought it was ok...more about him losing control. Very GTA Vice City-like. There's better, IMO.

"Departed" is awesome, partly because I recognized every location in the movie.

Love...

-"King Arthur"
-Anything with Tom Hanks "Road to Perdition" anyone?
-"Beerfest" Can't watch it without a Bass Ale in a pilsner, and even then I feel like a pansy not drinking. The weekend I bought it, I vowed to chug beer like that, just to prove I could do it and still be ok. I was chugging ale at every bar, and even downed a guiness like I was in a desert.
-Fearless
-The Protector (heir to Jet Li, possibly better)

That dude from Crank was better in the Transporter 1 and 2, and Italian Job, imo.

My 2 cents. I rented it but I didn't like the f-ed up nature of it. That, and I thought he'd survive.

Personally I wouldn't call it a DJ movie, but it was decent and funny, although over the top at times.

I think the dry and dark sense of humour is probably appreciated more by Brits or Australians than Americans though.

This movie was exectly how it was billed to be: an action comedy flick, I actually thought it was a great guy movie.

I really like how his g/f in the movie was. She stuck by her man regardless of how crazy or insane he was, she was very feminine/vulnerable/simple minded not complicated and she did it with him in a public place. What more do you want?? It was a nice change from the other movie's where every chick in an action movie become like Lara croft and be smart as a whip and kick ass like a man.

I thought it was good because i didnt think it was going to be as crazy as it was, I thought it was going to be just like transporter. I love movies that throw me the unexpected, like when i went to see equalibrium in the theaters (not knowing what it was going to be about) i was TOTALLY amazed back then. If were talking about DJ movies why isnt 007 any one of them?

Jason Statham plays similar, but cool roles.
