Thought you guys might appreciate this.

This is a post from craigslist making its rounds on the internet this morning...

ORIGINAL INQUIRY

THIS POST APPEARED ON CRAIG'S LIST

What am I doing wrong?

Okay, I'm tired of beating around the bush. I'm a beautiful
(spectacularly beautiful) 25 year old girl. I'm articulate and classy.
I'm not from New York. I'm looking to get married to a guy who makes at
least half a million a year. I know how that sounds, but keep in mind
that a million a year is middle class in New York City, so I don't think
I'm overreaching at all.

Are there any guys who make 500K or more on this board? Any wives? Could
you send me some tips? I dated a business man who makes average around
200 - 250. But that's where I seem to hit a roadblock. 250,000 won't get
me to central park west. I know a woman in my yoga class who was married
to an investment banker and lives in Tribeca, and she's not as pretty as
I am, nor is she a great genius. So what is she doing right? How do I
get to her level?

Here are my questions specifically:

- Where do you single rich men hang out? Give me specifics- bars,
restaurants, gyms

-What are you looking for in a mate? Be honest guys, you won't hurt my
feelings

-Is there an age range I should be targeting (I'm 25)?

- Why are some of the women living lavish lifestyles on the upper east
side so plain? I've seen really 'plain jane' boring types who have
nothing to offer married to incredibly wealthy guys. I've seen drop dead
gorgeous girls in singles bars in the east village. What's the story
there?

- Jobs I should look out for? Everyone knows - lawyer, investment
banker, doctor. How much do those guys really make? And where do they
hang out? Where do the hedge fund guys hang out?

- How you decide marriage vs. just a girlfriend? I am looking for
MARRIAGE ONLY

Please hold your insults - I'm putting myself out there in an honest
way. Most beautiful women are superficial; at least I'm being up front
about it. I wouldn't be searching for these kind of guys if I wasn't
able to match them - in looks, culture, sophistication, and keeping a
nice home and hearth.

THE ANSWER
Dear Pers-431649184:
I read your posting with great interest and have thought meaningfully
about your dilemma. I offer the following analysis of your predicament.
Firstly, I'm not wasting your time, I qualify as a guy who fits your
bill; that is I make more than $500K per year. That said here's how I
see it.

Your offer, from the prospective of a guy like me, is plain and simple a
cr@ppy business deal. Here's why. Cutting through all the B.S., what you
suggest is a simple trade: you bring your looks to the party and I bring
my money. Fine, simple. But here's the rub, your looks will fade and my
money will likely continue into perpetuity...in fact, it is very likely
that my income increases but it is an absolute certainty that you won't
be getting any more beautiful!

So, in economic terms you are a depreciating asset and I am an earning
asset. Not only are you a depreciating asset, your depreciation
accelerates! Let me explain, you're 25 now and will likely stay pretty
hot for the next 5 years, but less so each year. Then the fade begins in
earnest. By 35 stick a fork in you!

So in Wall Street terms, we would call you a trading position, not a buy
and hold...hence the rub...marriage. It doesn't make good business sense
to "buy you" (which is what you're asking) so I'd rather lease. In case
you think I'm being cruel, I would say the following. If my money were
to go away, so would you, so when your beauty fades I need an out. It's
as simple as that. So a deal that makes sense is dating, not marriage.

Separately, I was taught early in my career about efficient markets. So,
I wonder why a girl as "articulate, classy and spectacularly beautiful"
as you has been unable to find your sugar daddy. I find it hard to
believe that if you are as gorgeous as you say you are that the $500K
hasn't found you, if not only for a tryout.

By the way, you could always find a way to make your own money and then
we wouldn't need to have this difficult conversation.

With all that said, I must say you're going about it the right way.
Classic "pump and dump."
I hope this is helpful, and if you want to enter into some sort of
lease, let me know.
It never ceases to amaze me how much women think their looks are worth.

What's even more amazing is how much said woman will overrate her looks. Like you said if this girl was as hot as she makes herself out to be, she wouldn't have to find these rich guys, they would be finding her.

I loved that reply.

I vote for more men to call women on this shi*, well done.

You get a big fuc*ing A from me :D

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

 Man, I needed to read this! This has to be the funniest thread ever posted.

The 'you are a depreciating asset' statement takes the cake. I got to ask, did she respond back to you?

She has to at least admire your business sense..

I think it would be justified if I were to say I actually ''look down'' on such a human being. A chick like this, I reserve the utmost pity for. Poor, lost chick hasn't realized there's way way waaaaaaaaay much more to life than a lousy, meaningless dollar $ign. We all know that in this ruthless capitalist system, we have to make money to get by in life, but damn, why on earth would anyone need all this? I will never understand the mentality of those who place such GREAT importance on a lousy, absolutely meaningless piece of paper, other than to survive and make a living.

All I care about in life is getting laid on a constant basis by the babes and living comfortably; not wealthy, not destitute(where I'm scrounging for every penny), but middle of the road. If I end up making a lot with my business(which is my back-up plan...first and foremost is the music), all well and good, if not, oh f*cking well.

And I beg to differ with her that, no, most HOT chix aren't goldiggers from what my two eyes have allowed me to see.

I didn't write this, it's been floating around the Internet.

The point is...people who make 500K per year have better financial sense than to spend it on chicks. :p

Hahaha!!! Oh man, that reply to her post was freaking brilliant. Brought a much needed smile to my face.

Most girls don't have enough self esteem to think they could gold dig.

Perfect answer. Answer her in purely economic terms. Turnabout is fair play. I love it. We are appreciating assets and they are depreciating. Can't make it any simpler than that.

That's a load of horse crap. I've said this before, most hot chix know they're hot..how can they not?..afterall they get looked at constantly by men. I can agree with how some say oftentimes they don't get hit on because men are intimidated by them, but they definitely get stared/gauked at...and they obviously catch guys doing this..and when the opposite sex is constantly checking you out, what does that do for you? It makes you feel good and floats your ego, right?

Beautiful Answer! Earning money builds extreme confidence! Believe me. There is no feeling in the world better than earning over 100K in a month. But the key is to hold that confidence , regardless of your financial situation.

I was up there once in my twenties. Now I owe a million. LOL. To boot I cannot do what I used to do. But one thing I used to say was "It;s not the big things you have in life, but the big in you that makes you". I said that at 22 years old. I have seen the biggest producers on the street (Wall Street). And one thing they have in common was an unprecedented sense of confidence. So much so , it was surreal. That is a true Don Juan.

DJ=Confidence

Anyone and I do mean anyone , can start from scratch with no education and become wealthy if he has the confidence to do so.

Why do I talk so much about wealth and success? It goes hand in hand with women. The mentality of these financial giants is the same as a True DonJuan. They are of the same breed. One focuses on money, the other on women. But the thinking is identical. Their directions are different. But put them both in the same clothes and speak to them, you couldn't tell the difference.

I find Real surreal confidence is built in baby steps ; achieving a little at a time. These baby steps turn into bigger strides and then into small leaps. These small leaps turn into huge leaps. Then full sprint ahead. With each progression, your confidence builds. Rome wasn't built in a day. If your goal is surreal confidence, it grows with each progression.

My LIFE

My first presidential watch- Confidence 10%
My first business- Confidence 25%
My first house- Confidence 40%
My big year(monetary)-Confidence 75%
HB9's and 10- Confidence 100%
Lost all my money , HB9's and HB 10's- Confidence 90%

This was my life story. My confidence was built on monetary value and success. I am not saying this was a good thing nor do I advocate it.
This does not mean you have to be a millionaire to score an hb10. Quite contrary.

Now you ask , did I score Hb9's and 10's because of my success. I would have to say no for the following reason: When I lost everything and I do mean everything. LOL (glad I can laugh about it now), I still had the confidence and dated the same kind of women.

Conclusion: Find what gives you passion and confidence in life. Work hard and diligently to achieve as much success in that area through progression. Everything else will fall in place.

The guy who replied to her Craigslist post brought up a good point. Her intent was to "sell" her looks, and nothing else. His retort was clever and simple; there is no return on investment on your looks. Its like a car, it just loses value.

She got owned plain and simple.

For a LTR, looks just needs to be there; its not even close to being everything. I've said this here before many times.

Criteria for gaming/ONS, and criteria for marriage are/should be completely different. For gaming/ONS, looks is almost everything; fvcking a really hot chick is great no matter what's she worth, how many degrees she has, or if she can even spell her own name.

But LTR/marriage? You want a quality individual for that, or you will be sorry. Good looks (HB7 or better) is just your starting point. You want, on top of that, "character" (honest and trustworthy), degrees/money making power, good habits, good work ethics (no lazy chicks), fiscal responsibility, submissiveness to you, etc.

That chick in that ad must be out of her fvcking mind if she thinks I'd "buy" her on looks alone even with my modest ~ 80,000+/year income.

Bump... Too much.

I actually like her post because as she says, at least she is being straight forward. Most women are doing exactly this on some level or another within their league, but veil it BS. It's an awesome response, but he really didn't answer any of her specific questions. If she put a little effort into it, she probably could work her way into the mix by reading a few books and a lot of mags as well as networking the city. Half mil is not 'middle class' in Manhattan. How many people making 6 and 7 figures got blown out of the water in the last few years? Yeah, I bet this guy was involved in mortgage backed securities or some other area of Wall Street that should not have been at that level and got crushed. Perpetuity?

And he is wrong about 35 - there are really hot women wayyyy beyond that who keep themselves in top shape better than most women half their age. If he had any game he would know that...

BTW, I recently added some comments to my profile at a well known on-line dating site that indirectly allude to me having a very high income and net worth - it's must be laced just right and I have arrived there unintentionally. I just have certain interests that are common among the money set. Boom! All of a sudden, I am getting a lot more unsolicited contacts. It's either this or the site has some algorithms that reward members based on how active they are and make their profiles a lot more visible to others.

It was not my plan to attract Gold Diggers so I don't know what to do because I am looking for hot, ride or die, feisty chicks that are not overly concerned with money not candy zeroing in on my finances. I don't have the flow that I used to in terms of income, etc. I could just go for meet ups at high end places and ONS in hotels, but I would have no depth behind it for much more than that.

(I am over 25)

At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.
