coolest guy ever?

recently, i've been getting closer to this guy who everybody had always spoken me extremely well about.
his classmates and everybody in his high school had always told me he's the funniest guy ever and that he is a major don juan.

when i got to know him better, i noticed that basically he does and says everything that comes to his mind.

now, i know lots of people who act like this, but nobody is perceived as him... actually they're often perceived as too loud and obnoxious, maybe funny, but not cool



i've been talking about this with some friends who know him and one of them said that maybe he manages to get around with doing and saying whatever he wants because he's pretty built (i don't see him as muscular though, he's 5'11 and 185 lbs)

another guy says that maybe it's because he talks with a soft voice, while other guys who do whatever they want usually talk with a loud tone of voice...

in my opinion, it's because he looks kinda crazy, so people think he's not trying too hard and he's not putting out a show to impress people... also, i can't get why people never try to make fun of him, even though he says lots of funny bullsh1t...


do any of you know guys like this?

The reason why hes so cool and everything is because he respects other people. If you respect other people then you get respect back from them.

But on the other hand, for the people he makes fun of, those are the people he KNOWS and he KNOWS that he can maek fun of them without them fighting back. The reason for this is because either the people he makes fun of is weaker than he is or those people are his close friends.

Also, the reason why people dont make fun of him is because nobody else does. If he's so popular and interesting, why would anyone want to make fun of him? Simply because if someone makes fun of him, he could have the power to lower that persons social status!

patrick's and your replies are really good and true, beside one thing: he seems to respect people, but actually he makes fun of people 24/7... there was this drunk guy at a sleepover party who was asking for some toothpaste and CoolGuy gave him some jack daniel and said "that's toothpaste, man!"

anyway, maybe you're right... my brother knows this guy pretty well and says that he's so cool because he treats everybody else in a good fashion

The fellow must be witty and good at dissing. So, people must be avoiding getting into a verbal fight with him (who wants to get owned in front of others?). And the reason he is not hated is that he must be a really cool and fun loving fellow with a positive attitude. Plus, you said he is a don juan so he must be good with the girls, this increases his popularity.

1. the strangest thing is that the only girl he's been seen with he's a fairly cute girl in his school, who's not extremely beautiful, let's say a 7. HOWEVER, he's this fame of being able to get every female in the club, although nobody's ever seen him approaching a girl or making out with any lady... it's just the impression he gives

2. i don't think he's extremely witty or good at dissing... actually, when someone tries to jokingly insult him, he just nods and smile the way you do at children...

the coolest guy at my old school had this attitude of respect for everyone. he was confident, i dont mean a little confident it was as if confidence came from this guy as if he invented it. But this attitude of respect was sort of done in a jokingly way he treated everyone like his mate. He was amazing at all sports nearly and intelligant as well, at the same time was a bit of a rebel in class.
I think everyone respected him, he wasn't violent, he didnt act like the 'hard alpha male' and very rarely got into fights although he looked very tough.

i better stop now or ill sound gay, he was cool i respected him and asspire to one day be like him but not an exact clone of him.

don't worry about sounding gay (besides the "asspire"), we're just discussing about cool people in order to become cooler ourselves

the guy i know sounds very similar to the guy you're talking about, good at sports, good grades without studying much, rebel in class (in which ways was he rebel?)

the guy i know never acts like the hard alpha male, but he gets pretty violent when he drinks... i mean, if you say something against him, he will push you hard away. but it's always up to you to start a real fight with him

i meant rebel in class in that he never did much work (i woudnt recomend this, this kid was inteliigent at minimum all bs at gcse if he worked to his potential as/a*s) he liked to joke around with the people around him. Centre of class discussion most of time but it wasnt really about work. Because he talked too much to those around him who diddnt seem to mind the teachers would try and stop him to which he would give a cheeky response if the teacher wasnt really a respected teacher. He also broke a window by falling into it when these older lads where fighting him. Instead of laying down and being a victim he just laughed and said "we where just messin around.. as you do" when the teacher asked him about it.
