Women love men that can cook. Why is this? I get the general premise but any more specific ideas as to why this is such an attractive attribute in a man?

Not sure. But I would theorize it’s not even the actual act of cooking, instead it’s the demonstration of competency and skill. You would generate the same attraction while doing other things, fixing a car, repairing a water heater, re doing the bathroom floors.

I don’t like to cook, thus I’m good with cars

That shouldn't be your main selling point but yes, being capable of sustaining yourself is attractive, to all people, not just women.

A reserve of skills is true power, it'll attract fortune in all aspects of your life.

Showing skill/mastery or even the appearance of mastery (c0ckiness) telegraphs a safe haven for women. You come off as a capable provider.

It's not even the skill for most women, just the self confidence you show when doing it.

You could have extreme confidence in your ability to learn anything and fail continuously at various crafts. As long as your confidence doesn't waiver women will fall for you, arguably moreso since you would appear the underdog.

This is exactly why starving artists have no problem getting laid.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this sentiment is BS.

The act of doing something fun in an enclosed area with just you and a woman is sexy. Food is not sexy, and neither is cooking per se. It's an attractive attribute bc as roaming shark said it's a demonstration of skill. I'll also add it's appealing for a woman with a transmutated sex drive who uses food as a substitute for sex (i.e., your typical "foodie").

No one really wants to have wild, unrestrained sex after watching someone else eat and when your belly is full. You're more likely to want to take a sh1t instead lol. Women who say this tend be to somewhat difficult in my experience.

That's exactly the point. They don't even have to be good artists. It's their display of will and self confidence against obvious adversary that gets them laid.

The truth is no man has to cook a 5 star meal to get laid.

Absolutely. The professed desire to be cooked for is a bit of a sh1t test imo

I see this whole thing from a different angle.
Women love men that can cook because thats a beta trait. Historically in all cultures worldwide, women did all the cooking for the family. The kitchen was the domain of the wife while the husband did manly things like hunting and chopping down trees.

Women nowadays love a man who can cook because thats one traditional task and obligation they can delegate to you while they paint their nails and update their social media accounts. To them it also signals freedom because they can stay out socialising as long as they want without the need to rush home to prepare meals for your starving gob. And if you can cook for yourself then you can cook for the children too, and for her.

I encourage men to learn how to cook because its an essential life skill. Its also a skill that can minimise your chances of committing to toxic women who can knock up good meals (as the old saying goes- “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”). Men who cant cook for themselves can easily get trapped by psycho women who can, because lets face it, we all appreciate good food.

So learn to cook for your own survival and self-reliance, but in the presence of a woman, you should tuck that skill away since it becomes a feminine quality which automatically portrays you as beta.

So boys, there is a fine line to be treaded when it comes to this cooking shyt. Think carefully before you invite her over to see your prized collection of aprons, recipe books and rolling pins.

Its not sexy bro haha dont believe everything you see on TV.
I didn’t see it on TV. And I never said it was “sexy”. Just that women have told me how much they appreciate me because I can cook. I was wondering if there was a reason, not looking for someone to say that I didn’t actually experience what happened to me.
