Hey guys,

Thought that I'd get some wise advice, rather than the typical PUA crud on the main board.

I dunno - on the road to 40, still recovering 9 months down the line from a BPD situation that I still dream about/nightmares about. Completely taken the wind out of my sails.

Seem to get enthusiasm that I'm gonna do stuff over the weekend, and here I am, sitting in on a Friday night, actually feeling low, and therefore not wanting to socialiize.

Feels like a vicious circle of up, down, up, down....stuggling to find the old magic.......

Tony,

I feel you. Most of my friends are now married or dating someone seriously, so quite often I am left wondering what the heck to do. Online dating seems the easiest way to get the dating life in gear but it is going nowhere except in circles for me. It's difficult not to feel down about this kind of situation, but it is certainly better than being in a situation where a girl is mindf*cking you every day. Maybe try bookstores and similar venues on Friday or Saturday night -- chances are if you see a girl there she is there because she isn't dating anyone and doesn't want to be stuck at home on a weekend feeling sorry for herself. She's waiting for you...

Tony bro, you gotta MAN UP.

I'm 15 years your younger, but still man life is a roller coaster. You gotta learn to love the down cycles, cuz dude that's what makes the ups so good. Cliche as fvck, but true man. Be happy you ain't that BPD chick. Her life will be nothing but trouble for as long as she lives. You got a great learning experience from it. You'll meet someone way better as long as you stick to it and don't QUIT. Keep failing until you succeed and I guarantee you will end up happy.

Try and find other things in your life to make you happy. Women are only one aspect of life. It's like the game of basketball (weird analogy). A great player is LBJ. He scores, he defends, he rebounds, he passes, he fvcking coaches. A better scorer than LBJ is Durant. But that's the only area in which he succeeds. It's only one facet of the game. Be LBJ man. Win yourself a championship. Keep going until you die.

In the end, it is a privilege to be a man. You have emotional stability, you can pee standing up, and you are sure to get more out of life than a woman will as long as you let yourself. If you sit and sulk all the time you will undoubtedly get worse. Go out by yourself and meet new people. All it will take is one compliment from a chick to boost your ego (and if you're in the right spots, youll get a compliment). Einstein believed that the endless repetition of the same experiments in the hope of obtaining a different result is what makes someone insane. Change up your game bro, you'll be straight.

A woman's worth changes with her age. A man's worth is forever. Be happy you are now single to mingle with any girl you want to. If you're that bored at home, join an extracurricular activity which is co ed, like Karate or Tae Kwon Do. Surprisingly a lot of women take those sports and some of them are damn hot! I know as I was in martial arts for 5 years. Tae Kwon Do seems to be more in the keeping fit side of the martial arts. Go for it!

Thanks for your support gentlemen.

Yeah, its me being sluggish thats the problem. Managed to sneak the afternoon off work, and wanted to get out early, but kinda vegetated on the settee. Went to sleep and dreamed of the BPD which pu me in a sullen mood.....

The trouble is, people get old...I aint quite there yet, but most of my old gang are out the game...I'm like the last one in battle........so I gotta keep the flag flying ;)

I'm more awake now and am gonna hit a bar and club ;) Should be OK ;)

Will update ;) Cheers again guys

I hear you, I'm in a rut, too. Put social life on hold for almost a year to help care for a cancer-ridden parent. Now that she's gone I'm ready to get back into the game but I see nothing but grotesquely fat, tatted-up women.

It's time to try something new. I'm attending a yoga class tomorrow which is out of my comfort zone. If there are decent prospects I will go back, if not at least I tried. Also look for dance classes in your area. If you enter a traditionally female area with confidence you can command more respect from women.

Hey guys,

Thanks for knocking some sense into me last night.

Well, I cant say it was a massive success - but got one phone number from that rarest of creatures, a woman who looks alot younger than her years. Passable 28-30 but actually 41, with a lovely slim body but giant butt....thats the way i like em.

Got drunk before i went out, and couldnt be bothered to hit a big club so came home at 1....

A bud is thankfully comin over tonight to ease the pain of solitude - thanks again bro's

I like this thread. And I love you guys. And I'm drunk :D

Yes, you are the last one in battle, Tony. Many of us are in that situation... It's lonely at the top! Just keep moving forward...always...no matter what. We are warriors, this is what we do. We will not fade away!!
