This is just a thought, but to help further encourage quality content producers on this website, how about Sosuave start offering payment to certain members? The criteria can be, for example, based on how many likes someone has received over a period of time, very similar to how Youtube functions in some ways. Or, it could be the number of views the particular content producer's thread(s) receives. Again, all of which increases ad revenue and other revenues for Sosuave.

- The payment doesn't have to be big, but maybe a certain amount paid out for every 100 likes someone received over their time here?

- To avoid trolls getting paid, a simple requirement can be that to be a potential "paid member", you have to at least reveal who you are to the Moderating Team in terms of who you are, where you are, what you do for a living, pictures of yourself, etc., so they can give you a "Verified Stamp" in terms of being an actual real person that is most likely honest/living the life they portray here.

I think this would help to do a lot of great things for this website:

* It would encourage more quality content production

* It would decrease flame-wars

* It would easily help members identify who is actually living the life they preach

* It would increase revenues and members to Sosuave

* And (this is a big one) it will allow us to more efficiently network with each other and do perhaps regional "meet/greets" or "hang-outs" with other Verified Members of Sosuave.

It's a win across the board. What do you guys think?

i built a pay forum a few years ago. one of my entrapurener ideas is creating a pay for men's dating forum like this. i've seriousoly toyed around with the idea. paying members get access to contributors who i hand pick and who are compensated for articles and posts,.

yeah i don't like the forum format

more of a site where you pay a monthly fee and you have a mentor that you can ask questions to they answer them directly and put you on a path to success

You are two years late to the game, as usual.

Not a good idea, it would only encourage dishonest members to create multiple sock puppet accounts, mask their IP and like their own posts.

Anytime someone wants money for their advice/insight, it's usually sh!tty advice.... the best advice usually comes from guys that aren't looking for any monetary reward -- they're helping out others just because they want to do something positive.

It would probably encourage posts but we already get plenty of those. I post here to help out mainly. I think the older members do serve a purpose they dial back the impressive testosterone level here.

I've written walls of text specific to a particular members issue researched with references and never got a rep. Yes rainman that means you. And have got multiple reps for a throwaway one liner. So I wouldn't expect it to improve quality.

Of course if tenacity was paid per word he d b rich all over again.

ungrateful bastard that @Rainman4707 .....and not even a schooner of VB in it for you uber......

Yes agreed. The like system doesn't mean jack at the end of the day. Probably ego boosting going by some members mention of them........it's important to keep things into perspective though.....if you feel you're ego getting massaged because of likes, it's helpful to think about the likes of @wifehunter who has a 1000 or so likes. That says it all really and puts things sharply into perspective...

It seems like you've rumbled @Tenacity grand plan though. First he gets everyone on board about getting paid depending on likes etc and seeing as practically everyone has a large number of likes they'll be all too eager. But then he'll move the goalposts and say there are too many with likes, so it should be on word count like you've suggested!!! Clever bugger he is....

The idea he has about verified members would probably take up if there was a private section or something.

No. You end up rewarding people for posting what is popular rather than going against the grain.

Do that and you'll end up with 90% of the threads going 90% of the market is shyt

Actually that's not a popular message around here lol. I'm one of the most hated people on the forum, due in part of pushing that theory. There's countless guys behind the scenes lobbying to get my a.ss kicked out of here.

Ask yourself this... who would pay? lol

How would Sosuave makes money in this ?

You asking for a cult around a personality (likely you) instead of a platform that stimulate motivated individuals to share their ideas.... than again would I pay to join SoSuave? At least i'll know the people on a paid forum are the real deal (for better or worst)

Personnally, I would promote a ''1 like = 1 $ match in a exponential way to the likes of those liking your post''
