I understand where you are coming from because I used to be like that to an extent. Then, I realized that they were really miserable in my opinion because all they did was go out and party. Without alcohol, most of them were plain people that didn't have much fun.

I went out on a search for the outcasts (by society standards) that loved themselves for who they are.

That is where I found my roommate, my swing dance group, my western martial arts club, and many other people with or without alcohol are still able to have fun (think art and music majors). Those people are fvcken wild :trouble: .

As to your tony robbin book example:

I love that passage from his "Awaken the Giant within" book. I believe that the exact quote is:

Fat guy: "Well, I don't care about my looks and body, it's just a vehicle."
Tony Robbins: "Mmmm, is it a quality vehicle?"

It was something to that effect. I love that quote because it made me laugh so much when I read it.

If you liked Tony Robbins, try Mark Victor Hansen and Jack Canfield. I love reading those two. They usually partner up for books, but some they do alone. But I digress.

As to Iqqi's friend who got the person who looked like he was hit in the face by a mac truck. It only appears that way, Holland, didn't actually happen. He just looks ugly as sin.

I think it's very lame to deny your outer body and just let it get mediocre.

I think this is the big trap of spirituality. People start thinking to less of their outer appearance. They 'forget' they're still living in this physical world.
Yes, you're a spiritual being, but you're also a spiritual being having a PHYSICAL experience. Never forget that.

I also believe that this is a big problem. Considering that I grew up with obese people/family my whole life. I refuse to grow overweight (that is not muscle mass) and some members of my family have the same idea. I always disagree with them. It's just a part of my psyche.

2) You have a girl. What some men call an 8 others can call a 4. Who cares what others think about your girl's looks?

5) The only issue I see...and I will share with you has NOTHING to do with the pictures you posted it. Posting pictures for the sole purpose of getting people you have NEVER seeing opinions is an insecurity issue. Work on that.

your life is full of lots of things, please do not take to heart what every single person on this thread has written, because those are the sorts of things that will weigh you down with unnecessary thoughts and burdens.

Thank you for your kind words, I have yet to take most of the things that have been said to heart. I am beyond listening to my detractors and look for the truth in everything. Sometimes, i see no truth at all in some statements like "you suck" or "your girlfriend is ugly." Although, there is truth to each of these statements, which is paradoxical, but is actually true.

I will explain. "Good and bad is all about the point of view that you look at it." What may be truth for you, might be a lie for me.

If people are 'the popular type' it doesn't necessarily mean that they're not fulfilled or needing the validation. They might actually be really awesome people.


If your group of friends is really tight and you have an awesome time with them, good for you. If things are meeting your standards, I believe that is a wonderful thing.

I understand what your saying and couldn't agree with you anymore. I guess what I am trying to say is that they are not my type of people. To some people they might be awesome, just like the hot babe might be hot to some people might not be hot to another.

Things have met my standards, but at the same time. I know that I have so much more to offer this world than just existing instead of living life. That is what my list of goals are. They are to make sure that I live my life instead of just exist like so many other souls that are just existing.

My friends meet my standards, but not some of the other things in it. I'm working on those things right now.

If you are basing this over one days worth of posts then you are indeed a sad individual. Iqqi and me go back a long ways. We have known each other for almost three years now. You and me go back only a couple of days (as far as i can tell because you joined on 11-20-2007).

Very true, I do go on a lot of threads talking about how I do trust my girlfriend and how my girlfriend does fulfill all of my desires for a woman. I'm sorry, but I do not brag and I am sorry if I come off as bragging, but I only give information that I have real life experience on. Considering that I have not been single for any amount of time since 2005 other then five months from September 2006 to February 2007, when I chose not to go after women so I could work on other things in my life, such as finding my own self in philosophy and psychology.

I did not lower my standards, maybe your standards but mine were probably quite different then yours. I looked for an intangible idea known as personality and someone that could take my jokes and then dish them back out at me. I was seeing three other women at the same time that I was seeing her. My girlfriend impressed me the most. Trust me, I did not "lower my standards," in fact, if anything I upped my standards because of her personality.

I go with cold hard facts that over the past six months, I had three women force their lips onto mine, two women grab my d!ck and try to give me a handj0b, four women wanting to lose their virginity to me, an ex-girlfriend that still wants to go back out with me, three girls give me back massages without me even asking for them, and MANY other things that I have had happen to me.

Actually this is what is going into my signature. I like it because of how simple it truely is. To you, what a person should not strive for. To another person, it is the correct thing that people want. People want different things all the time.

I will not go that far. I just believe that the people that are criticizing me has a very different point-of-view that I do not understand, but they do. If that makes them happy, than I believe that they should be happy. Whether they actually are happy is completely irrelevant to myself.

my mother always taught me if I can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

besides truth and same as the concept of good/bad is only looking at something from a different angle. Example: Some people say that what the conquistadors did to the Americas was a good thing, but I'm sure a lot of people disagree with that.

I have read a lot of his works. So far, my favorite is "awakening the giant within." My dream is to eventually become a motivational/inspirational public speaker that is living my life consciously. Therefore, it is my duty and goal to read as many motivational books as possible.

What I do not understand is iqqi keep ranting about inner beauty. What does that mean? That the image you present to other people doesn't count?
That it justifies the fact for me to become an unhealthy, out-of-shape couch patato as long as I have my amazing personality. Honestly, I think it's bullshiit. People should always make the best out of themselves, in their personality and physicly.

I consider myself a pretty kind fellow when it comes to people. I don't judge them for their appearance or anything. I'm openminded in my friendships with them, I'm generous to share my knowledge with them and willing to learn from them. I just don't choose to be in any relationship whatsoever with a woman who I do not find sexually desirable. Seems pretty damn reasonable to me...
