Hey all!

After lurking on this website for so long (and almost morphing into a keyboard coach/jockey) I decided it was time for me to start a journal. Hopefully by doing so I'll actually be motivated to go out more so that my updates don't look like suck. I will also be completely honest in this journal because lying sucks and this is for my own benefit, so if I end up being judged so be it.

Please I urge you all to provide me with any advice/critiques you have. Also i'll most likely have a ton of questions about things so please help answer them!

Here are a few things about me:
Still a virgin (but not too inexperienced when it comes to girls)
Bit over 6 feet tall, fit
African but been living here in the states for a whiiiiiiiiiiile
I'm currently a junior in college (and loving it!)
Drinker, don't do drugs

Goals:
I used to be desperate for a girlfriend but now I realize that having one really doesn't complete you or make you feel more whole. Rather I would prefer to improve my life generally, which is my main goal for this semester

1. Keep up with school work (after all parties are great, but I understand how important it is to have a great education)

2. Keep working out (Used to be really unhealthy but now I'm improving, i'm probably going to add my work out journals here just so I can really devote myself to this.

3. Be a happier person over all and stop using my ego to hide behind my insecurities!

4. Better communication with both sexes

5. Getting some action here and there (it's been a while lol!)

6. Stop trying so hard to impress women (making up ****/stories) and be more chill

7. Quit over analyzing things! This is probably my greatest mistake, I blame reading way too much information on PUA!

8. Abs! (Eat right and limit junk food to twice a week tops)

Current Plate status: 0, too many rookie mistakes lol and will update this when it changes.

Thursday
Today in a nutshell (assume I go to classes lol, I won't talk about them unless something that stands out happens):

Missed my workout yesterday (I'm doing StartingStrength) so I made it up today and spent a few hours play basketball. What sucked was I did a piss poor job interacting with the people I was sharing the court with and even though they tried to get me involved in conversation I just kept being so quiet (something else I need to work on!) because for some reason I really care about what people think about me so I don't say anything so I don't get judged. Weird huh?

In about an hour I have a social event to go to at a bar so I'll try and see if I could maybe add some plates.

Other than that, this is pretty exciting and I'm hoping to grow into a Don Juan!

Update time:

Let's see last night (while it was fun) was still a huge disappointment. I wasn't able to do any approaches at all, I even had a couple of girls checking me out (girls make it so obvious after like 1 am in bar, its funny when they do it they look at your head first and then go to your feet lol). Still I didn't make any moves at all, why does AA suck so much! Why can't I just nut up and go and talk to these girls. Seriously it's so bad! Here's what always plays out in my head and prevents me from approaching a girl:

1. She's probably not into you
2. She probably has a boy friend
3. What do I say?!?!
4. You're in college, if you **** up you'll get such a bad rep!

Currently I have a decently sized social circle (I love hanging with my friends) but when we go out I rarely stray away from the group which is so dumb in my mind but I end up doing it anyways! And what's even dumber is that I try to talk to girls in my social group even though I see them as just friends (and vice versa) without even flirting, just talk. My fear of rejection is getting really annoying.

Lol after typing this I realize I need to read the bible because I'm pretty sure that I have absorbed way too much fluff information from outside sources to the point where I keep over thinking things! I need to forget all past irrelevant information and learn applicable ones. I'll probably limit my daily readings to max an hour just because I want to actually be going out to try stuff.

As for Friday, I stayed in and played some WoW (lol I'm such a closet nerd!). Just a few seconds ago I canceled my subscription just because I don't want to become a social recluse playing an online game.

Also went grocery shopping! Which makes me happy because now I have my diet all set for the this semester and I'm working towards a six pack (new goal!).

Tomorrow should be fun I have a couple of social events lined up and I get to work out/play basketball which is always fun.

And that's about it!
Hope your journey is going well!

Update time:

I'm sick as ****, my allergies decided to explode on me today (I'm allergic to the change in seasons, which causes me to constantly forget about me having allergies) so now I am sneezing all over the place and my throat is so itchy. What's even worse is that I opted to buy Benadryl over Claritin, due to $5.00 vs. $35.00. Why was this a mistake? Because benardryl makes you tired/weak as ****, so now I'm in bed at 9pm tired and skipping on all my night plans. I hate allergies!!! Wasn't able to workout/basketball either, so I'll make up for that tomorrow *hopefully*.

On a side not if I don't update on Sunday/Monday its because I have a pretty major exam coming up on Tuesday so I want to focus my attention towards that. Otherwise if significant things happen I'll update. I'm also following the Boot camp (as I realized I really know nothing at all), starting with week 1 and the 50 eyecontacts/saying hi to strangers. The articles are really neat and I know if I have to set these goals for myself I'll actually work on them!

Other than that, take it easy!

Hey man. A tip:

In order to take it easy talking to girls, you have to be able to talk to people in general. There's a thing RSD members refer to as "State". This is the opposite of being in your head - attention and energy is flowing through you, and you feel like you can talk and flirt with anyone, cuz you're the sexiest mofo in the room.

I would suggest start talking to 3-5 random people a day. Not girls, people, for the first week. Focus on eye contact when you're speaking, being casual and relaxed while you talk, and body posture. Also google "Alpha male voice resonator" to make your voice deeper (if it isn't already)

Soon, you'll be money.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.
