So, I'm back at uni.
Since I started learning game, my ability to remember people's names has dramatically improved - I often make a conscious effort within myself after an interaction to recall the names of whoever I met.
Anyway, last semester, I met a girl, we introduced ourselves, had a chat etc, and we didn't really see each other after that. This semester, I run into her again (along with a couple of her friends), and I open the set. I remember her name; she doesn't remember mine.
When I reminded her that we had met before and that's how I knew her name, she kinda giggled and said "that's creepy" >__>
I didn't really know how to respond to this, so I kind of ignored it and continued the conversation.
So my question is, is it sometimes better, if the girl doesn't remember your name, to feign that you don't remember hers either? I feel like if I remember hers but not vis-versa, it comes off as a higher level of investment on my part and that may come off as unattractive.
Of course, this whole problem could've been avoided had I made a stronger, more dynamite impression on her the first time we meant, but that's another discussion <_<.
