i dunno what all this collar poppin and panty droppin $h*t is. man if you're a thug then go to any urban wear store and get some clothes. if you like to dress preppy then thats fine. truthfully the people that pop their collars and all that i know get no girls. they act like they do and they might kiss a few, but who doesnt do that?? the thing is a lot of people who are poppin collars and all are fake. dont do anything just cause you think its the style, and dont go buy stuff just cause you wana be different. go to wahtever store you feel comfortable shoppin in and if you have trouble picking clothes, ask the people who work there. its their job to help you. most of the time i dont take their advice exactly, but they lead me in the right direction. but whatever yo do, match. matching is simple. either rock with the same color (all white, all black, etc.) or do like opposite colors (white tee black pants, i rock with a lot of gray or black tees and some jeans or somethin). and i dunno if you've seen them but the new timberland shoes (not boots) are hot. be yourself, im pretty sure everyone else here agrees with that.

I think it's really hard to get a real personal clothing style in the USA because every piece of clothing is made by the millions, most ppl just look the same, probably not entirely their fault cause small exclusive import shop are probably hard to find

just getting looks from girls on the street and flirts with 9s and 10s happen often, they probably notice my wicked style

mostly wear brands like energy, j.c. raggs, diesel, sabotage, firetrap, for shoes mostly exclusive/limited puma's, gold and silver shoes do well, also Y3 by adidas gets me a lot of looks from both sexes ;)

also got a big black belt with energy on it, energy is just wicked best brand ever

ralph lauren shades to top it off

some nice shirts and long sleeves by an dutch artist, all limited: http://www.art4use.nl/collection.html

Why is it only four people in this whole thread have got it right so far?

Thank you oakraiderz, splinterkb, rock guitarist, and sitnam.

Dress in the way that you feel good. If anyone gets on you for it, who cares because it's the way YOU want to dress.

overshirts are very powerful things... they can do anything. you can mix and match them with anything from a plain white t-shirt or some kind of t-shirt featuring your favorite band, etc. also, they serve as excellent cushions. if ever you're sitting in class and you get really bored, take it off, put it on your desk, and take a snooze. lastly, they can be fairly warm. if you're with a chick on a chilly night and you forgot to bring a jacket, you can always offer her the overshirt, which has absorbed some of your body heat.

of course, if you can get away with it, no clothing at all is an excellent option :D . talk about true freedom.

Labels are important.

You will have a hard time getting a girl you've never met before unless you are dressed in a greater then or equal to style.

So if your wearing Target and she's wearing abercrombie, its gonna be tough.

I like athletic shorts and a nice polo with the collar "popped."

Just keep it clean and comfortable.

Seriously if you meet a chick, wear a dress shirt with verticle strips or solid colors. A polo will do too. If you skinny, don't ever wear tight cloths, some people just look homosexual in them. Just match
Your right dude. *wheres a dress shirt to school. Gets his ass kicked and his family raped*

dudes labels do not matter that much. all that matters is that you look good. i wear completely blank shirts when i go out and girls love it. truthfully i dont really care what they think about what i dress. if they say somethin about my clothes i just tell them its sexy and that they know they like it. u all are worrying way too much about impressing girls. thats the kind of stuff AFCs do-- gettin all worried about how they look and all that weak $h*t. only one thing matters when you are with a girl-- GAME. i bet any of u i could get a girl in spandex. do u think anyone really cares that much if your collar is popped or not? none of you have gotten with a girl because of how u dress. stop lyin to urselves.

Dressing is your image. I Don't give a ****t about getting girls with how I dress. it makes you look better at first sight with everyone.

If you be wearing the same shirt for days or if you got some stupid looking shirt on, you ain't getting no respect from nobody. You're right, brands don't matter, but I prefer some. I usually go to school with a solid color tee that are like 10 bucks, but have pants and shoes to match the fit. Put a fitted and I'm set. But if I'm going to someting social like a party or dinner, time to bust out my polo's and button ups.

Seriously, all you need are 10 hats, 10 tees, 5 jeans, and 8 pairs of shoes. Rather than 5 hats, 5 tees, 2 jeans and 4 pairs of shoes for the same price.

****k, I ain't goin to pay twice as much for some dude's name on my jeans

Also, if you get compliments on what you wear, say "You got some good ****k ing taste."

If they clown on it, say "you got some bad ****k ing taste then"

Don't say something like "you know you're jealous" because they ain't and think you're a freaking dumbass

The vast majority of the posts on this topic illustrate that a sad amount of people don't have a clue.

You don't dress to impress. You dress to look and feel good. It's about you! Argh!:(

Are you poor? If the answer is yes then go to Goodwill and buy some real "gangster clothes."

If you're not poor, then you shouldn't be dressing like a hoodlum, it looks absolutely ridiculous in my opinion (on white or black people). Buy clothes that fit your body. Look clean.

Personally I shop at American Eagle and Express mostly. Express has some really nice clothing but it can get expensive.

Just look clean and well dressed (nice shirts or polos, jeans that fit your body, nothing baggy, etc). Gangster clothing is a fad, wearing a nice button up shirt or polo is pretty much timeless and will always look good.

Old topic we got here haha. Anyways, clothing shouldn't matter.
As long as it feels good on you and you are confident in everything you do with it it's fine. I like solid colored tees and shorts, I plan to get me more of those. I also plan to get some polo shirts. And a couple pair of jeans and shoes to match.

Honestly, I think someone should suggest some stores that have these items(shoes, cloths, hats) for good reasonable prices that aren't out of reach, especially in today's economy. Usually when someone finds out that some person shops at Walmart, they get clowned or rough housed a bit. Truth is if you know how to shop you could buy some nice shi* at Walmart, target, sears, Matter of fact.....anywhere!

Whatever you wear whether it's street wear or preppy stuff just make sure it fits well. You can wear an outfit you copped at Goodwill that fits well and it'll look better than an ill fitting Ralph Lauren outfit you got for 20 times the price. This is especially important for ripped guys, skinny guys and fat guys where your proportions will look weird if your clothes fit badly.

I usually wear slim/skinny jeans or chinos, a casual button down or tee and Comme Des Garçon converses. With jeans try to avoid pre-faded or ripped pairs unless it compliments what you're trying to pull off. I try to avoid big logos and flashy designs on shirts because I think it's tacky, but if you really like a brand then go for it. The dress to impress comment earlier is 100% true in my opinion. Wearing hood sh!t to pick up hipster chicks isn't going to do you any favors.
