Quick question: From working out, I now have the V shape going for me. I'm 5'8 and usually wear medium size shirts. However because of the width of my chest/back and shoulders the shirts I wear appear shorter. I tried large out, and the fit was good, but the length was a little too long. I've heard suggestions about 'fitted' clothing, but I'm not too sure what this is; how much it costs; and good places to shop. Could definitely use some help. Thanks

Fitted is well in my experience and knowledge (IF it's wrong someone fix please) is when its form fitted to your body...it's tight and sorta molds to your body. I use to wear baggy crap and once I got to this site and started working out (Going for that V too lol) I started wearing form fitting clothes (Billabong,Hurley..**** like that but most of my decals are on the shoulder and spread out...I think it's unique and not lots of people have the shirts I wear so thats a plus).

I think people that work out and have a good looking body should wear form fitting clothes just to show off..hell I do and I am just getting there.

But I think fitted might actually be tailored in which you go in and they measure you and tailor the shirts and clothes just for you.

i work at abercrombie... i notice a most of the clothes there are fitted for athletic and "buff" people.

but you're 23, i'm not too sure you'd be into abercrombie... but hey, they also have another brand targeting the people past the college demographic.

but it's the same exact clothes with a different name + $10.

www.abercrombie.com
www.ruehl.com

although i work there... i'm not one thats into all the heavy branding plastered all over the chest... if i were you, get a fitted, but non-branded shirt. many people aren't into the post-college male that is still into the names. unless you're a guido-dbag.

I was wondering this also. I have a slim but muscular build and have particular problems finding good dress shirts, since most seem like they are made for 300 pound guys.

I'm thinking of getting some altered to not be so baggy, anybody have a rough idea of what that would cost?

You gotta get your dress shirts tailored. They can taper the sides to make it less baggy and then shorten the length. It costs $15-25 depending on how much needs to be done.
