Hey Guys,

This is my first post. Well, I have discovered that the clothes you wear make a huge difference in how you attract girls, and more inportantly, how confidently you feel about yourself.

Several years ago I quit buying clothes at popular stores for young people, and instead (at the age 19) decided I would only wear professional men's clothes. I would go into professional men's stores and buy professional looking sweaters and shirts when they were on sale (ie. boxing day), and would only wear them. It had an amazing affect. Girls assume I am older, more mature, more wealthy than I am (I work at a gas station....lol) but its the appearance that counts.

Wearing professional clothes also improves one's self confidence. I remember how I used to work at McDonalds in the morning, but in the late afternoon I would dress in my own suit and tie and walk around...people totally would respect me. THey would ask me for advice, and lots of attractive girls would look up at me. More importantly, it improved my own self confidence. I began to like myself more, and walk more confidently, and talk with more confidence also. That is what is most important.

Wearing professional clothes doesn't have to be expensive. Wait for the sales - I never buy something that is more than $25, yet I have gotten amazing sweaters, including ones (like the one I am wearing right now) that several girls have complimented me on.

Another thing that I wear that really attracts girls is hawaii shirts. Last summer I bought this super yellow hawaii shirt and on the very date I bought it, this really hot girl complimented me on it, and asked me to dance with her (SHE ASKED ME, I DIDN'T ASK HER). In the coming weeks, I found that this shirt had amazing powers. I wore it on the first day of classes in September, and this super hot girl in a mini skirt (who I had never seen or talked to before) came up to me and told me how much she loved the shirt. Several times I have worn this shirt on the bus, and lots of girls literally just come up to me and talk to me. Before I had to go to them and try and start chatting..but now, they litterally come to me. I am not lying...virtually every time I go out and wear this particular shirt, a girl of some sort comes up to me and starts talking to me. So guys, if you see a shirt like this, buy it and wear it. ANd by the way, this wonder shirt only cost $12.....

Clothes do improve the image you present, but by no means do they 'make' the man.

I commend you on a well thought out first post. It discusses some very useful information and even I might study this article a second time.

But, the clothes might get your in, but if you can't make yourself seem competent in those clothes, and act like a douche or fail to carry your image in your actions, you won't maintain anything, and you'll be known as the guy on the bus that wears a suit/hawialian (spelling) shirt, nothing more.

Clothes help outer image, but inner game proves it.

Man dont have to be beautiful but if he wears nice, fancy clothes. He may still get woman. Also perfumes are very important.
Woman are very attracted to man who dress well. I dont mean those metro gays, just man who dresses with style like a man. Uses good brands etc. It really helps more than You think.

they think those shirts belong on old fat men

I started wearing suits/dress clothing in the 9th grade. I became known as the Mac Daddy. I eventually stopped because it was quite difficult to get dressed like that most days since it took time.

If it is what you like to wear, then damn well do it, no need to dress "trendy" if you don't want to. Because, I for one can't stand those novelty shirts from Ambercrombie that 90 people in the same room have.

Umm, no they don't.

If you're hot in a girls eyes, you can be wearing a t shirt with holes in it and dirty shoes and she'll still have sex with you.

I've got masses more attention wearing a nice dress shirt, jeans and all the things that come with that look. I make sure it's not too formal for the uni environment, the last thing you want to be known as is some kind of try hard. So I make it look casual but crisp. Some women now seem intimidated. I was talking to one girl in class who went completey red and all I was doing was talking to her about a book we were supposed to be reading.

clothes don't matter much at all. Maybe they help with your confidence?

Last year when I lived in the dorms at school, I had really long hair... like down to my shoulders, and it was pretty wavy. I wore t shirts that were five years old with holes in them. My jeans all had holes, my left shoe had a hole in the toe. None of it was brand-name either, I was a pretty scruffy skateboarder. BUT I had plenty of HB's interested in me. Many HB's(7.0+) wanted ONS's without me having to say or do anything, just because of body language and attitude, and perhaps reputation or something. It definitely shocked me. I dress a lot better now, but it's for myself, not them. Honestly, just make sure the confidence and attitude is there.

I've had a lot of girls tell me that I actually INTIMIDATE them. One of the things that I always make clear when I'm getting to know a girl is that I have contempt for vain people, and I'll neg on their style just a litttttle bit, so they get the message that I'm not fooled by facades. Anybody else confirm this? It's been working well for me; it takes away their fashion card and they have to prove their personality. Plus, it gets me points because they know I'm not some vain chump.

That still means clothes do matter.. Just in opposite way ;)

Im going to agree with some of the things in this post .. style definately will attract the women. The same thing goes with stylish haircuts ... BUT ... inorder to take things further you need to be able to talk and attract her not only look wise but mentally.

I think some of you guys still underestimate the power of clothes. THe thing about clothes is that they are supposed to make you unique - different from other guys...not something wierd, but just unique.

I agree that hair cuts, or lack there of, do attract girls. I like to grow my hair long, and that seems to help attract girls. But that special yellow hawaii shirt sure does help !!! I tell you, almost every single time (80% of the time) I can attract a girl with that particular shirt. Maybe its true that fat guys where hawaiian shirts, but this particular one gets girls !!!!!!!

Another thing to remember is to wear nice clean shoes !!! Girls seem to have this interest in shoes...many have 30, 40, even more pairs. THey do look at guys shoes !!! So wear nice clean shoes !!!

Also, a nice watch is also helpful. I wear a shiny watch that looks like it could be silver or gold, but it only cost $15 bucks....make sure it looks like manly watch, not something that makes girls think you are just a teenager (even if you are)........

but of course, clothes, if nothing else, should improve your self confidence. Even if you don't attract girls, atleast you will feel better about yourself.

1. If you dont mind could you take a picture of you wearing the shirt? I wanna know whats so good about it

2. Yes i definitely agree. Wearing good clothes boosts my confidence up to the max when i go to school

3. I dont dress to pimpy.. just good colours that match, and something sharp. I really like wearing almost the same colour shirt and pants (blue) and nike shoes which are also blue. No i dont look like the sky, it looks really nice! Also, with a silver watch and earring, it really makes me feel good.

4. When girls meet you for the first time, they look at your clothes! I'm not saying a girl will like you if you dress very nicely (well maybe for girls_are_fun) but it definitely shows that you take care of yourself.

Think about it for girls. The first time you saw that HB 9, you thought she was hot because she had like a tight shirt or something nice on. You don't fall for HB's when they have a hole in their shoes!

Generalizations.
Nine times out of ten, what a girls wearing doesn't matter to me. I've fallen for HB's with holes in their shoes. And ones that just wear things like jeans and sweaters. But they're still HB8+'s.

It depends on what type of cultural you associate with. Certain subcultures in society place great emphasis on the appearance of clothing, others, not soo much. Dress howevers appropriate to your cultural predilection, and you'll probably attract girls of similar mindsets.

Yes my newbie friend and you know why? BECAUSE YOU ARE A MAN! WE CARE ABOUT LOOKS FIRST AND FOREMOST!

Women are not like men. Looks matter to women just as men, but they also look to their own security. Women want men that will make em feel secure. This is why they love jerks/bad boys and guys with money, most of the time chosing those types over nice guys that will treat them better.

You don't have to spend hundreds of dollars to look mature and decent. I bought a pair of docker pants and a cotton shirt, plus a cassio watch which was on sale. I noticed the way people looked at me the moment I stepped out of the house. I felt respect right away. People look differently at a guy wearing baggy pants with an abercrombie and fitch shirt, than a guy wearing dockers with a black cotton shirt, a decent watch and black shoes.

dressing in a more mature manner will earn you respect and admiration (not just from girls) but from adults as well.

here is a guide, just click the links.

Dockers Flat Front Washed Chino Pants (amazon.com)
Sale: $24.99

Gildan Ultra Cotton Sport Shirt (amazon.com)
Price: $5.95 - $10.95

OPTIONAL
Casio watch (amazon.com)
Price: $29.50

combine the docker pants in the first link (the one in the picture) with that black cotton shirt and you are looking decent for less than 40 bucks! now add any inexpensive black boots and you're set!

I think the way I would like to dress is like Brad Pitt on Ocean's Twelve. Just a dress shirt and pants like when he meets up with Katherine Zeta Jones at the cafe and some nice looking dress shoes.

kind of AFC-ish, but not bad overall. But yes, your point of style being affordable and easy if you put a little bit of thought into it is absolutely true.

Even when i was in my teens i was always able to afford designer crap because i knew where and how to shop. Its not that hard when you put some thought into it.

I think GQ and Cargo or Details or Esquire should be on every DJs subscription list. DOesn't mean you have to emulate the models wearing lime green windbreakers and tanktops, but you will know whats classic, whats stylish, and know what clothes to buy when you need to.
