Just wrote a really long post and then lost it so I'll summarize.
Basically the complications aren't that minor or unlikely to happen. Sure you're not likely to lose your **** or die, but things like skin bridges, narrow urethra, bleeding, infection, tight scar, etc are quite common. Healing sounds pretty bad too, imagine popping a boner with stitches.
Not to mention you're losing sensitivity, and some research suggests increased likelihood of ED and decreased female pleasure (something American girls would realize if they could get over their closed mindedness).
I figured there's a reason why the VAST majority of men in the world, including in very developed 'civilized' countries in Europe are uncut, that there's a reason why we are born uncut, and a reason why NO medical association in the world recommends routine circumcision.
It was introduced for stupid reasons (to prevent masturbation), and now continues for stupid reasons, tradition and the need to justify what we have been doing. If you are cut and decide uncut is better your kid, doesn't that suggest there's something wrong with your ****? So of course you get your kid cut too, since it was so 'great' for you. You come up with dumb arguments like women prefer cut which is why dildos are. No, it's just kind of hard to make a dildo with moving parts... not to mention I look cut when hard even though I'm not.
Finally, I don't buy the argument that its a useless vestigial organ. They said that about the appendix and tonsils too, only to find out now both are related to immune function.
The bottom line is, the only country that prefers cut for non-religious reasons is the US and to a lesser extent Canada, and they do so for untrue reasons - they think it's unclean only because they don't know how to clean it, and they prefer the look only because that's all they've been looking at for generations.
