My longtime girlfriend turned 40 this year, so I can no longer claim that I have never banged anyone 40 or above. My how time flies. Oh well. Anyway:
I spend Christmas with her family Sunday. She has a large family, and like me, she has several older siblings. And they have kids of their own, who have married and have kids of their own. But unlike my family, there's one very unusual thing about her family: No one in her family has been divorced. I think that's a rare and impressive feat in this day and age, and I have to wonder how they managed it.
I saw several groups of young, attractive women and their husbands, raising their little familes. Maybe it won't last. The manosphere would suggest that most or all of these guys are beta chumps, but it's hard for me to believe that in light of their track record. I'm not the type of guy who is going to trust a woman enough to marry her, and I've never wanted children, not really. But wanting a family and building your own family is not something that I'm going to disrespect. I'm not going to belittle these guys by calling them beta faggots or some other nonsense, just because it isn't my chosen lifestyle.
But how are they succeeding? I think one key is that they have children, and make the family the focus. Having the children means they are both working toward the same goal. Of course, this won't stop a lot of women from pulling the plug. If it did, we wouldn't have so many single mothers. But I still think that's part of it.
