Checked out for stds?

Has anyone been checked out for stds? Do you just go to a health department or a hospital? How much does it cost?
About a week or so ago I has sex with this slut and being stupid I didn't use a condom. Im not worried about pregnacy since shes on birth control though. But right now my throat hurts really bad-feels as if theres a lump or something in there when I swallow. Occaisionally I've been a little dizzy or gotten headaches too. But too my knowledge shes fine so if she gave me any stds she would have to have them in the first place-so seeing how shes fine and didnt have any symptoms does that mean im prolly just being paranoid and that I prolly just have the flu or something?

You can tell your doctor to run the tests. My doctor always asks me if I want to take an HIV test all the time. I made my girlfriend get tested, and she got a lil pissy about it, but fk her (which I can safely do now.)

If you have medical insurance then you should visit your regular general practice doctor to do the tests. If no medical insurance then there should be walk in clinics in your city which will do the tests. There's no need to visit a hospital.

You can get HIV testing done for FREE in most cities. Check the internet...

If your HIV test comes up negative, retest in another six or seven months... unfortunately,they're looking for antibodies to HIV, not the virus itself.
Those antibodies take some time to develop after first exposure.
