This morning I was logging into my hotmail and I noticed the article of the day caption was "Why people cheat." I figured I'd take a gander and what I read did not surprise me.

http://msn.match.com/msn/article.aspx?articleid=6091&TrackingID=516311&BannerID=562427&menuid=6&GT1=8134

This woman could not be more wrong. First of all, she poorly tries to make the article sound like its geared towards helping men and women; however anyone with a brain can see that it is feminist dogma at its worst.

We all know that cheating is biologically driven, but she tries to make a case that its purely socially/pyschologically driven. She says nothing about how we were'nt meant to be monogamous and how men want to spread their seed to as many willing child-bearing females as possible to ensure our genes' success. She also says nothing about women cheating with a man of higher value than her current partner and how she becomes more fertile with the man she's cheating with.

She also assumes that we rationalize cheating before doing the deed, when in reality people succumb to biological urges, do the deed and THEN try to rationalize their action.

The only thing I agree with in the article is the last sentence. I'm working on 3 hours sleep here so I'll let the rest of you comment and discuss.

THOUGHTS?

I hate filling my mind with anything that comes from news by MSN. It's like reading up on UFO sightings written on a napkin sitting next to the guy who lives in a box and can't speak english. No real value...

Women do rationalize before they do the act, they have to, or they wouldn't accept the consequences anyways.... It is the excuses that they rationalize after the fact.

women are naturals at cheating. if we ask them where they were?, who were they with? it makes us look unconfident. the funny thing too is that women friends will protect their friends who are cheating.

it always seems the guys who are good to these girls are the ones who get cheated on. ever see the movie unfaithful. i knew chicks that got turned on by some of the scenes in that movie. i felt bad for the guy who gave his wife everything.

the worst girl to date in this day in age, is the flirty girl. it's like when you introduce her to your friends and she gets all flirty and disrespectful. this girl is a major red flag.

all in all, i just don't like people who cheat. why get together with someone only to break their hearts in the end.

The flirty girls are imho the most trustworthy. They already know how to play thei field, they are hard to get in the beginning(if not then they are hos, so just say no from the get go) and all the guys that she flirts with only fuel the fun...

If you get all jealous over it, as an alpha male shouldn't, than she knows that she chose the wrong guy. She'll string you along as far as possible, than dump your ass when you get boring or violently opposed(ie sccreaming mad over nothing, accusations and such...)

All of these women who cheat, have been cheated, if they are going to cheat on YOU, than you chose the wrong woman. If she feels the need to cheat on you, than guess what, your not enough of a man for her...

Of course it is nature, men have the desire to spread their seed, women have the desire to gain as much ground as possible to get the BEST seed.

It all comes the way you look at it...

womens thinking is messed up. it seems that when a girlfriends bestfriend is around, she would put her feelings before her bestfriends and screw her boyfriend. guys do the same, but guys get beat for it.

women are attracted to what they can't have. like the old story of adam and eve. the woman bit the apple.

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.

You could not be more wrong. Flirty women are no more safe than others. I knew a guy whose girlfriend was flirting, and it never seemed to phase him. Guess what? She dumped him for my friend, one of the guys she flirted with all the time while he played it cool.

Actually i found that the best model for human behavior is found in the fact that there are guys with good survival genes and guys with good provider genes...

Women get impregnated by the survivors, but they don't stick around to provide, so they find another male for that and have him stick around by giving him sex. I can definitly see this happening in prehistoric times and as far as i can tell it's still happening today.

Just look at howmany guys with families who are secretly raising someone elses kids. Not to mention the guys that willingly stick around to raise some other guys kids.

I read the article: though it could have been even more anti-male, it's completely amateurish. "Why do people cheat? Because they are bastards!" is the level of analysis. Anyone in this forum could have done a better job.

Broham is right, these feminist butches ignore science to advance their political dogma. Everything is "oppression" of women, nothing is a survival trait created by evolution. Sound familiar? It's the basis of Marxist logic - note that the founders of feminism were all avowed Marxists, such as Susan Sontag, Betty Friedan and Andrea Dworkin.

And these butches have the ear of the media owners, so that science is ignored and this kind of amateurish crap gets air time and printing ink. To show you just how much they have the upper hand, note that Mr Elor here feels it necessary to include a disclaimer about not being "sexist" when he is just stating a simple truth. (No offense, Mr Elor.) An all-too-common reflex.

Where's the disclaimer in print about not being a man-hater, when these feminists write their stuff? They don't have to include any disclaimers, ever. And when they're wrong, they never have to apologize, because their careers will never be hurt by it - the media will keep pushing their side of the story.

Amazingly, they still manage to pretend that "We are oppressed!" even when it's their books in every library, their books in every bookstore, their books in every sociology class. Opposing views are eradicated from the college libraries. But they have to pretend they're still the underdogs, because they have failed, despite being in control. Nothing turned out as they said it would. So they need to pretend the "patriarchy" is still running the media and the academy.

Kind of like in the Soviet Union "saboteurs", employed by the CIA and the MI6, were the reason all the economic experiments failed.

Coincidentally, this Gilda in the MSN article has a book to sell! Don't they all? Hers is called "Don't Bet on the Prince". If it is filled with the same kind of amateurisms she's using in this article, it's a waste of good paper.

Whoever started this nonsense of flirty girls being safe?
Flirty girls are much more likely to cheat than any other kind of girl. It's simple, they just have much more skills in flirting with guys, and have the choice each time of letting it bleed or taking it further...

For christ's sake man, most guys on here have had sex with a flirty girl with a boyfriend at one time or another. Even I've had sex with a flirty girl with a boyfriend... It's a FACT that they are more likely to cheat!

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.

flirty equals attraction, attraction equals getting laid. flirty girls are just setting bait, if you bite, they'll wheel you in.

it's like this one harmless night i was over at this girls house that i had no feelings for. anyways long story short she hit me with a pillow and we got into a pillow fight and that lead to wrestling and wrestling lead to a quick poke.

if flirty girls are trustworthy....think again.

Although this is true, it is also the best part of a horrible situation. If this woman's friend is attracted to you, they will seriously consider making a move behind the back of the friend they are "protecting".

"Best friends" is a very shallow term when women use it.

Since we're on the topic, have any of you guys taken a girl back or had a friend who took a girl back after she cheated on him? I have this friend who took his girl of 8 years back after she cheated on him. Not with one but two different guys, one who was his close friend. He took her back damn near the next day and they carry on like nothing ever happened. It's digusting. I don't know the guy well enough to say anything about it. I do know that she's the clingy girlfriend type who always has to have a guy around 24/7. In fact ever since she cheated on him, I see that they spend even more time together. It's almost like he awarded her for cheating on him. This is all suprising to me because he never struck me as the AFC type. My question is, what could make a throw all self respect down the tubes like that? And what do you think are the consequences he's facing short or long term for keeping this girl around?

I know of a couple in an almost identical situation

I use to work with both of them and the girl cheated on him not once, not twice but three times. Twice with one guy, once with me . So she ended up confessing it to him and he dumped her that night. The very next day he forgave her .

Their relationship is really quite amusing though. They've broken up and gotten back together around 4-5 times now and they have only been going out for 10 months. I laugh everytime I see them or hear them say "I love you" to eachother. Grade A comedy right there.

Although the guy seems like an emo AFC to me which probably explains it and she is also the kind of girl that can't be "single" for more than a day. Part of me feels sorry for him and I was thinking about introducing him to this sight but on second thought...nah....

I haven't, to my knowledge, had a girl cheat on me so that would be a no. I do have a couple of really close friends who have done this though. The general answer is that these guys really just wanted to stick with the first thing that they saw. They have a lack of true self-esteem and felt they wouldn't do better. They are the "settling" type in the truest sense, they will end up just settling for something that they could easily make better with a little bit of hard work (i.e. they could find better women but are lazy and will put up with that disrespect).

As for flirty girls being faithful I'm not so sure that I would agree with that one. I've dated and banged some over the top types who I couldn't handle and I'm the laid back non-jealous type. It all boils down to a lack of respect. I wouldn't jump down there throats about it and they would try to see how far they could take it. Of course this was years back and I would say too little too late so I would be taken for a fool. As far as I know none of them cheated on me, or admitted to it if they had. The all had a few things in common though besides flirting like lack of ambition, love to party, borderline aw's, were very self-centered, lacked any true self confidence, and were immature little brats. Hell even if they would have been faithful in retrospect I wouldn't have been after putting up with them.

At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.

exactly belividere. i have a bestfriend who has been cheated on by the same girl for the last 5 years and the fool still goes back to her. as soon as he dumps her and tries to move on and meet other women, he gets shot down. he's basically the classic case of how did he get her type of guy. she's pretty and he's alittle overweight and makes a kick butt living.

what scared him the most was we were at a bar and he started going after 10's,9's,6's,and girls you wouldn't even set up your worst enemies with, and they all shot him down. he's got the right mindset and he's not afraid to approach, but bars are not the best spot for looking for a great catch.

all in all in the end, i would rather be single than be with someone that cheats.
it's almost like if your bestfriend shot your mother, would you give him a second chance and still be his bestfriend. no way!
