As you live life you become more self actualized (not everyone, unfortunately), and you begin to make more decisions on your own without input from others.

Now I'm sure it's no surprise that many people do not like this kind of behavior. Some people feel threatened, some jealous, and some just develop a type of hatred that I'm sure even they don't understand.

I'm not just talking about things regarding the game here either.

Regardless of the cause or who is being affected, relationships sometimes end because of our choices, and the choices of others.

How do you deal with the loss of a friendship or a good acquaintance when you live your own life, and they don't like it? We shouldn't go around actively trying to hurt the ones we care about, but sometimes life happens and things get complicated.

It's important to control your own frame and keep negative influences and voices out, but it still doesn't change the feelings you have when you find out you've pissed someone off.

Dear Dreesy,
You sound like one of the walking wounded...You just have to get back on the trapeze mate!...You cannot lose these feelings only sublimate them...At the risk of seeming tedious spin more plates!

you learn to not to care, if you ahd a friend and he don't want to spend time with you anymore because you are happier then him doing your things, in a healthy way, you just need to let then go, if they was really your friend he would be ok with what you are doing and maybe learn something, same with you learning something with your friends. the same way we screen woman we also do with people around if he can't bring anything to you, be it by knowledge or fun or anything you think is nice to ahve around you shouldn't lose time with this kind of people.

and like I said you just don't care you can always make new friends

You can't walk around this planet trying to please everyone. Friends, wives, siblings, and parents included. You do what you think is best, always, and you own it. If you do get casualties along the way, so be it. Life isn't black and white or cut and dry, but at times it needs to be for the sake of resolving problems, keeping your sanity, and moving on.

Dreesy,

You will find that the more advances you make in life, they are the direct result of how DECISIVE you have become. And the more decisive you become, the more polarizing you decisions will be viewed by those who love you, hate you, or just "associate" with you.

As a man, YOU are always the one in charge of your own decisions. No matter how much you may want to take others with you on your journey to positive change, you will indefinitely find yourself having to leave behind a lot of people that you NEVER THOUGHT that you would have to.

Your mission as a man of character is to always be WILLING to help the next guy (or girl) become a better person---but you also have to be just as willing to leave them behind for your greater good.

Here's a link to a post that explores 3 primary reasons why people try to hold you back or "Hate" on your successes:

Also remember that even though you ,may have to leave some people behind "for now", I've had the experience several times in my life where friends who WERE NOT ready to move forward with me in the past----eventually were ready to get with the "bettering yourself" program at a later date.

PEACE.

V.U.
