I don't care what anyone here says, but you need at least some cardio if you want your body to remain active. I had the same problem as you almost a year ago. I started out slow by taking walks every couple of days. The first time I did it, it almost killed me. But it gets better as you keep it up. When you've gotten good at taking your walks (I usually spent 1 hour walking) then you can move up to something a little more fast paced. Get yourself on an excercise bike for 10-20 minutes every couple of days.

Are you actually carry fat? If so it may be a good idea to start cutting and focusing on cardio before you do any more bulk eating. Keep the protein intake high, keep working out and you should be able to maintain your muscle while dropping fat and getting fitter.

I gained too much fat when I was bulking and it has taken me 4 months to lose it. I feel really agile and light on my feet since I've lost it and I'm looking much better too.

I just realized how old you guys were.....GEEZERS!! jp jp. At least you're buff geezers.:D

ok Double I was probably in the same situation as you. I was about 15 yrs old and weighed 180 lbs, 5'9" or maybe even 5'8".

Then I started running and stuff.

Then I dropped to where you are now 165 lbs. We had an elliptical in the basement, so I started slow on that like jogging at 2 mph on the lowest resistance for 30 minutes. I almost died like Desdinova, but I never stopped. I just slowed down sometimes like a super slow motion run. It was pitiful. Anyhow, I ran maybe .98 or 1.00 miles at that speed for half an hour. I slowly tried to go faster every day and run more and more in the same time period. Now, with school I do not have 30 minutes to spare. However, I can run more than I did at 30 minutes in 15 minutes or less. Sure, somedays I feel lazy, but I still manage good speed. Just set a time, and start off slow. Then try to run more and more in that same time. When you feel it's a piece of cake, increase resistance. Ok I know you said in another post that you were an impatient guy, but just remember it is either this or liposuction. Good luck.

Also, I started off at about 18-20% bf. The lowest I've gone is about 13%. Now I am at ~14-15%.

It took me about 2-3 months to drop from 180 to 165 and that was good. But then I stayed around 160-165 for like a month. then I started dropping again to 140 lbs. Now I'm 148 because ... I have no damn clue.

One thing I'm realizing is the older I get, the easier it is to get out of shape. I'm no longer in high school, therefore I'm not forced to take phys ed. I hated phys ed. I'm not good at any sports, and I have no interest in them. Since I graduated, I got lazy. I also have a sit down job. I'd sit at work all day, then go home and sit at the computer all evening. Things have changed within the past year or so. I'm feeling a LOT better than I have in a long time.

Getting your cardio back can be hell at first but you'd be amazed how fast it comes back once you get going.
